Comical paranormal fiction novel

This was quite a comical paranormal fiction novel about a regular guy who unexpectedly inherits a large fortune. Two of his family friends find out and want in on the money and that’s where the shenanigans begin. There was also a romantic aspect which worked well. The pace was steady and the main character Alex was very likable. The paranormal side to the story added to the uniqueness to it.
The narrator did a great job with the voices and distinguished between the characters well. He was easy to understand and brought the story to life.

I would like to thank the author/narrator/publisher for generously providing me with a copy of this audiobook in exchange for an unbiased and honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

A truly enthralling tale!

Most people are interested in their family history. To take a DNA test to find more relations is not uncommon today. However, to find you are the only living heir, to a manor house. WOW!! that would be mind boggling.
The unexpected surprises don't stop there, but I hate ruining a great yarn.
Oh, if you listen to the audio rendition of this story, with such a skilled narrator, you will find that you are mesmerized by the story.

Mystery, ghosts and romance

This is an enjoyable story of an unexpected inheritance, new found romance, greedy hangers-on and a ghostly protector. It is an entertaining story with a bit of the supernatural mixed in and with characters you immediately like and others that you take an instant dislike to. Brenda and Connie are both self-centred, money-grabbing, obnoxious characters that the narrator of the audiobook portrays perfectly. The voices he used suited their personalities to a tee and really brought out how dislikable and annoying these characters were. I liked the sweet development of Alex and Maggie’s relationship and the protectiveness of Rebecca Farnsworth’s ghost. This story had humour, mystery and romance, and excellent narration that brings the story to life.

A good mystery manor tale

I received this one from the author for an honest review.

And I'm glad I asked for it, it was so cool.

I liked Alex our protagonist he seemed like an amazing good person, and i'm glad he found Maggie, she was an adorable character.

I hated the antagonist they were absolutely bad people, like from the core rotten really, but there's people like that in real world too so.

The Part of the haunting was amazing, loved the ghost she was cool. and more cool was knowing that this seems to be a series I want to read all of the books on this one, it was fun to hear it, and for me it had a perfect balance between all it's elements.

A great suspense book for any library.

I want to live at Cove Point Manor!!!!!

I loved this story! I was hooked from the very beginning. I loved the storyline, the descriptions of the House and setting were spot on. Loved the mystery of Cove Point and the people who lived there. I wanted to scream at Brenda and Connie because I hadn’t them so much. Very well written and the narrator did an excellent job bringing the story to life.

The Beginning of A Very Promising Series

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

I've enjoyed every minute of this audiobook. It was entertaining, suspenseful, with a touch of the paranormal and the supernatural, and with a sweet love story to boot. The writing was pleasant and the interpretation by the narrator really well done. It is one of those books that you feel sorry it comes to an end because you'd like to hear more about the characters and their developing stories. The nice things is that it is the start of a series, so we have more stories to look forward to.
Excellent audiobook!

Ghosts & greed

What happens when a man becomes the heir of a fortune after he has an online DNA test done? Alex Tinsdall never knew that he was related to the Farnsworth family of Long Island until he is contacted by a lawyer and told that he is the sole beneficiary of the estate that includes Cove Point Manor and $250 million.

Alex is shocked at his inheritance, but takes it all in stride. Meeting a young woman named Maggie, whose family worked at the Manor for generations, makes it even easier.

However, when two family friends discover that Alex is now rich, they decide to pay him a visit and cash in on his good fortune. These women, Brenda and Connie, have to be some of the most annoying characters I have ever encountered! Bill Nevitt's rendition of Brenda's voice was absolutely perfect! I cringed every time she talked!

Of course, there is a resident spirit that decides that Brenda and Connie are greedy, awful women and don't deserve anything from Alex. The ghost of Rebecca Farnsworth takes it upon herself to make sure that they are driven out for good.

I really don't now how to categorize this book as far as genre, but it definitely isn't horror. Yes, there is a ghost, but she isn't scary. In fact, I found most of the book to be humorous instead of scary.

Mr. Nevitt does an excellent job in his narration. His different voices really added a lot to my enjoyment of the book. The writing was a little amateurish, but still kept my interest. If you are looking for horror, this isn't for you. But, if you want to be entertained, enjoy a little humor and retribution with your stories, and like the idea of living in a huge, haunted manor, give this one a try.

I was given the opportunity to listen to this book by the narrator/publisher/author and chose to review it.
