The sheriff was looking for a killer....
The reporter was looking for a story....
While the town was becoming...
Bloodless.

A small, isolated mountain town is thrown into fear as teens begin to turn up dead, completely drained of blood, but with no apparent puncture wounds. Fearing a serial killer walks among them, the local sheriff sets his eye on a young man who has had past trouble with the law and foretold the disaster on his radio program. Also showing up in town is a well-known newscaster looking for a big story that she can spin into national news. There is also an old legend about a blood demon....

Enjoy this fast moving novelette as it leaves you wondering who is the killer.

This short (one and one half hour durTion) story has so many elements that it could have been very exciting: an old legend, mysterious deaths, a town isolated by a storm, pushy journalists, rival siblings, a local 'bad boy' the main suspect, hints of sexual predators and a snappy ending. What it lacked was a coherent story line. The author really needed to emp!oy an editor to help and give consistency. So perhaps less could have been a lot more.

Narration by Robert Wrenlock, however, was articulate, well paced and modulated, and performed with verve. Although ultimately disappointing, Bloodless was an amusing way to fill a gap.

Really short book. Should have been longer. Should have continued on from where it ended.

Not bad just really short.
