For the best reading experience, I recommend reading the series in order.

@t.j.hassall T.J. Hassall provides epic developments in the second installment in what is expected to be a 5 book novella series. And I'm already chomping at the bit to pick it up as an omnibus.

Again, I listened to the audiobook version and as expected, the narrators do not disappoint. @jvwintersnarration provides the right mix of attitude and inflection to grab and hold your attention throughout the book. At times you'll think there are more than 2 narrators because the characters are so different but equally as amazing.

I enjoyed this book more than book 1. Where book 1 packed in an almost overwhelming amount of characters and epic world building, this one focuses more on developing the characters. I just love them, especially Zaras, and am invested in seeing what happens. This book perfectly foreshadows for the next in the series and will leave you wanting more pages immediately!

Again, I would recommend this to fans of epic dark fantasy as opposed to readers who are just starting out on their fantasy journey.
