BLOOD VENDETTA is a 1960s-style Acid Western — an instant cult fiction classic that’s made to order for fans of vintage Spaghetti Westerns, Japanese Samurai films, Quentin Tarantino movies, 60’s-era psychedelia, and old school guns-and-katanas-blazing action.
Part Sergio Leone, part Akira Kurosawa, and part Alejandro Jodorowsky, BLOOD VENDETTA is a cinematic Far West meets Far East tale of greed and revenge, and a darkly comic (and appropriately bloody) allegory of America’s past, present, and future.
Into the Western Lands come three individuals, each bent on revenge: … the Vigilante, a stone-cold bounty hunter who’s all about the money…… Indiego, a Texicano shaman with a weakness for drink and drugs…… and Yma Omari, a female assassin from the Far East, carrying with her a thirst for vengeance… and a broken heart.
Pursued by the ghosts of their past lives, facing bandit gangs and bad magic, cannibal homesteaders, assassin-nuns, and supernatural entities from legend and lore, the three will travel the Dead Roads and beyond in search of their destiny, in …BLOOD VENDETTA

The author, Stephan M. Sechi, deliberately and authentically captures the nuanced feeling of Westerns of the Spaghetti Western era, but with tons more violence and blood. His three main characters have their own agenda and style. The dialogue and action reflect the genre of Western for each main character. It is bloody, action-filled, and what happens when you blend western styles similar to Clint Eastwood’s The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly and anything by Quentin Tarantino, topped with a Japanese katana flavour. The dialogue is rich and accurately reflects the characters and action.
The narrator, Patrick R. Golden, projects strong voices for each character, and the sounds are consistent. He draws the listener into the storyline and keeps them there with deliberate pausing, cadence and energy. His voice range is impressive, and he puts his voice to the test, projecting male and female voices.
I was raised on westerns, and this book is engaging, immersive, and a thrill a minute as it has everything from outlaws, dark magic, and vengeful spirits. The beginning of each chapter is marked with music.
