>"Reah, this is Commander Aris." Bel moved aside, once we were inside the spacious office, and I received my first look at the outpost Commander. He stared at me for moments as I stood before him. I was so frightened I was afraid I'd burst into tears. He was a lion of a man with thick, shoulder-length, dark gold hair swept back from his forehead. He didn't stand as his rank dictated, otherwise I think he would have dwarfed Bel, whom I thought was quite tall.

Broke, almost homeless, and recently fired. Those are my official reasons for answering a wanted ad for a skeevy-looking bartender gig. It went downhill the moment they asked me to do a trial shift instead of an interview - to see if I'd mesh with their "special" clientele. I think that part went great. Their customers were complete dickheads, and I was an asshole right back. That's the definition of fitting in, right? I expected to get thrown out on my ass. Instead, they...offered me the job? It turns out this place isn't a bar. It's a guild.

It has been two years since the Shift - when most technology stopped working, and the laws of physics changed. Humanity has been brought to its knees. Like other survivors, Noah Henson has heard rumors of the Aelves. Among other guesses, predatory aliens seem as good as any other theory for what caused the Shift. But for Noah, everything else takes second place to survival, sometimes even self-respect... or any sort of decency. Lawless, post-apocalypse America had forced Noah to make many difficult decisions, and he has never seemed to choose correctly.

Publisher's Summary
Saxom is dead. The vampires know this. Anthony Hancock, Director of the Joint NSA/Homeland Security Department knows it as well. Tony and the vampires are now on the hunt for Saxom's brood, all of whom are determined to avenge their sire's death. Neither Tony nor the vampires are aware of the other's efforts to search out these rogues, who may number in the hundreds at the very least. Tony holds information the vampires don't - he knows that Xenides, Saxom's eldest vampire child, has allied with terrorists (both foreign and domestic). Tony also neglects to provide vital infromation to Wlodek when he requests Lissa's help.
While struggling to recover from a near-fatal bout with the sun, Lissa fails to understand why Wlodek willingly sends her away on assignment so quickly. With very little information provided to her, Lissa is forced to face an enemy more deadly than anyone can imagine and unravel a plot that could kill millions.

Love this series
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
It's not the Classic hot romantic vampire book. The main character is more a real person finding her way around her new life. And it's not all happiness and good.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Blood Sense?
In the beginning of the book. When they are trying to bring her back to life.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Yes. I cried and laughed.
Any additional comments?
This is a must read series. I badly want the next book.

Awesome!!!!! Awesome!!!!! Awesome!!!!!
Would you listen to Blood Sense again? Why?
I have lost count as to how many times I've not only listened to it but read the book as well.
After hearing the first 2 I had to have them all.
Please for my sanity, put all 10 books on audible :)
What other book might you compare Blood Sense to and why?
Chicagoland Vampires because both protagonists are females who where turned against their will but came out on top in the end.
Which scene was your favorite?
When Lissa finally starts to assert herself on the road to becoming her own woman. I also love the way she fights
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Are you kidding me why do you think I've lost count on how many times I've read it let alone listen to it? I love it especially books 3 - 10. I haven't laughed & cried this much in a long time. I love it!!!!!!!!
Any additional comments?
Yeah, hurry up and put the rest of the books on audio & don't forget the sequels too like the High Demon Series, the God Wars series and the Saa Thalarr series, PLEASE :)

How does the author do it??
Once again I'm torn. After book 2, the sexual assault, book 3 is all about incredible stupidity. Each character makes moronic decision after moronic decision, but for some reason I'm still curious about how this turns out. I just can't figure out how the author does it.

This will be my last one.
Some spoilers. I enjoyed the first and second books believing Lissa was evolving and getting stronger. Not so, unfortunately, she is such a wuss/puppet/wimp in this book she allows these men(Gavin Tony Merle Wladic and more) to treat her like a second class citizen and she does not even try to argue about it. I decided to check out some later books reviews and find out she is mated to many and half of them betray her in many ways, not my cup of tea.

3.5 stars. Not sure about these audio books, on the one hand they're extremely addicting, on the other, I'm not that big of a fan of anyone in Lissa's life. She's cool. Everyone else blows (except the butler and his bf who I love). I hope some new guy is introduced soon.

Just as fab as always
This story is a fab continuation but missed Gavin out a fair bit, which worked fine but made me feel much more distant towards his character and was hoping for Lissa to find a new hunk. But toward the end Gavin pops back in which is nice but I wish he were not so much of a tyrant!

Another Good One.
What did you like best about this story?
I love the characters which are developing in each book, I had wondered what happened to Lissa after the events at the end of the last book. As usual the story is reasonably complex and enjoyable. Lissa reactions are understandable and her caring heart shines through as she is much more forgiving than I would be. I was upset with her 'friends' betrayal - he needs to check his priorities.
Any additional comments?
As the series develops, Connie Suttles' writing which was clumsy is much improved but once again, the story is so strong I am able to see past that. I would say it would be best to read books one and two first if at all possible.

Blood Destiny series
I have listened to all 3 books now, I find the story interesting with a bit of humour, just wished Lissa the main character in the books would get a bit tougher, vampire up so to speak especially against the males in her life, she kind of lets them walk all over her. Traci Odom does a good job with the narration of the story. The first book I got a few laughs not so much in the 3rd book. I'm hoping the next book in the series, Connie gives Lissa, a bit more attitude, make her work that vampire sex appeal...............lol cheers
