Publisher's summary

"Rene', what will you do if I kick his ass?" I jerked my head toward Tony.

"Nothing, as long as you do not inflict permanent harm," Rene' smiled slightly. I got up to go after Tony, but Wlodek hauled me back.

"We will not allow a brawl between our two youngest," he declared and settled me back in my seat. "Now, Anthony, where may we find your father and does he have other children?"

Xenides is searching for Lissa and out for blood. Nothng less than total destruction is his ultimate objective, beginning with the Vampire Council. After all, much of his elite fighting force was destroyed by Wlodek and his allies on a single night.

Now, Xenides must regroup and looks to command the dregs of vampire rogues and human criminals to accomplish his goals.

Awesome!!!

I am really enjoying all the books in this series so far. In fact I wish they would release the others quicker!!!
Entirely new take on vampires and werewolves which wanders off on a very different tangent compared to all the other books I have read of the same genre, there have been many.
At first I was thinking it was a bit out there but it's all coalescing surprisingly well.
Very worth the credits and the narrator, Traci Odom, does a fantastic job.

Happy listening!

And the series continues.

I really don't need the explicit sex scenes.
Why doesn't she assert herself sooner?
the narration carried the story for me. Once again Traci Odom does an excellent job with character development. Then again with dialects and voice ranges.
I do wonder with all her new power will she still be referred to as "little Girl "?

Put a fork in me, I'm done!

I just don't understand where Connie Suttle is going with this series. The first couple of books were interesting to me but now the story line is a jumbled up mess. I always found some things about lissa frustrating but now I find I can't stand her and I don't want to know what happens to her. I feel Connie Suttle's plot lines in this series are now too ambitious for her talent.

good, but too dark for me

Sometimes, a good series has at least one book that I don't enjoy reading even though it is necessary and moves the story along. This is one of those.

These vampires never learn!

Wow Lissa does everything for these vampires and they do not understand her (a modern mature woman) so she's forced to take situations into her own hands. So many unobservant arrogant men and she is forgiving until they piss her off again.
