Publisher's summary

"I believe you have visitors," Giff said, setting the coronet on its velvet stand.

"I know." I rubbed my forehead where the pale line showed from wearing the gold band. "People waiting on me and I have hat lines."

Lissa expected her life as Queen of Le-Ath Veronis to run smoothly. At least for a little while. Reality has a way of intruding on even the most idyllic of circumstances. Complications arise in the form of creatures created by the Ra'Ak: creatures who now seem bent on destroying the universe, one planet at a time. The former Ra'Ak and Elemaiya who were left on Kifirin are determined to rebel; vampires are clamoring for entertainment and other distractions on Le-Ath Veronis; and family that Lissa never suspected she had shown up - some of them in the most unexpected of ways. Lissa is forced to juggle the difficulties in her life while dealing with the ugliest of betrayals.

Where's the love?

Ok, so now that Lissa has somewhat of a handle on her current situation, with being a Queen of a whole freaking planet, things begin to look familiar, with plots to kill her. Other than the betrayals and attempts on her life, nothing is the same and Lissa is trying to find her place in this new world and time.

I, for one, was very excited about this new turn the series had taken with Lissa, until now. Three hundred years ago on earth Lissa was in her own element, but here on Le-Ath Veronis, she is struggling to grasp what the hell is going on. She has 13 mates now, rules an entire planet, and is now trying to build that planet one city at a time. The fact that we are 7 books into this series and are going through world building and character development all over again is mind boggling. I miss Winkler, and the pack. I miss OK, and TX, and Franklin. I'm trying to wrap my head around the new changes and roll with em, but it's difficult at times for me. When you get so involved in the characters life, being flipped upside down unexpectedly can take a toll. Whether or not this was the authors intent, I don't know, but I'm having a hard time with it.

I can applaud the author for the spectacular detail to the world building and character development, because it always is a tremendous task to take on. How she kept the family line straight is beyond me, but my God it's twisted! I love Lissa's new role but I don't like how she came about them, just like how she came about becoming a vampire. It was a cruel way to be turned, and her Royal status was no different in my eyes. I'm crossing my fingers and toes that the connection I had with the series comes back to me in the next book, Blood War.

Narrator Review
Traci Odom, you are fantastic! I don't even know what to say about your performance anymore but that! Keep up the great work, and I will see you in Blood War!

The story went downhill after book 5.

The series should have ended there. It is SUPER confusing an a great story went down hill from there.

Puzzled

What did you love best about Blood Rebellion?

Traci Odom is one of the reasons I love female narrators. She can do all the voices and do them well. Why am I puzzled. Connie has done a great job of bringing Lissa along, but it is hard to believe that with he powers and abilities that she can run away from her problems for months at a time. Gavin, while a hot head, really is the only one that keeps Lissa in line, whether she likes it or not, doesn't have nearly enough of a role in the book. Maybe later books will help with Lissas' emotion. Killing a whole planet is blah, while a lie brings a total melt down. I hope the rest of the books come to Audible soon.

Too many characters

There are so many characters by this book. It's hard to tell who is who and when did they arrive in the story? I have really enjoyed this series and if you are good at keeping track then these books are for you.

Series very good!

Whoever decides who the Reader is : Whenever there is a story written and spoken by one gender, but most of the characters are of the other gender - hire two genders: one for each. This reader is not Jim Dale - who else can successfully pull off 59 character voices? Use TWO READERS : one for Male, one for female. it is PAINFUL listening to this series on Audible (and I have it jacked to 135% speed). it's an interesting series -please RE DO the Audible program.

book of a vampire whore

if the writer if this series was trying for a sci-fi series she failed. the back story is good but the think with all the mates is just asinine and a queen that let's anyone speak to her the way gavin does is just idiotic don't know what the writer was try for but that fact itself makes the series fail.

Lissa continues to grow

Dang, Lissa is so hardworking and caring about everyone that her clingy men don't get that she has to take care of business. The depth of her caring for vampires and humans in all worlds send her on a race through time and space. Love all the twists and turns
