Publisher's summary

In the DarkWorld, the things that go bump in the night are most likely true. And the problem is they are probably not sticking to bumping around in the night. They are everywhere. Your work colleagues, your teachers, even your friends. They've been living that way for a long time. And you haven’t noticed because they don’t want you to.

You’re much better off not asking any questions.

Mel Morgan is a master teleporter. She can move through the Veil into the otherworldly planes. A handy skill when looking for missing people. It’s a lonely job, but with her gargoyle partner, she’s never minded lonely.

Until a certain super-hot djinn walks into her life. He needs her help to find someone he loves. And Mel can never say no to someone in need. But the road to helping Saleem is fraught with secrets better left uncovered.

Can Mel and Saleem dodge demons and sorcerers long enough to save the ones they love?

Please re-do the audio for this

Wow this book needs a serious editor. I wanted to like it but damn the audio is TERRIBLE. Please note IT DOES NOT GET BETTER. Genevieve Lerner has a bland monotone voice that has no infliction at all making it hard to pay attention to. Yup I will be returning this one.

Different Kind of Story for Me

I needed to listen to another kind of audiobook and I have a lot of variety. This was very different for me about Mel Morgan who is a Master Teleporter. She can move through the Veil into the otherworldly planes. A handy skill when looking for missing people. It’s a lonely job. I had to smile when I heard that she has a gargoyle partner, Mel get a job from a super hot Djinn that walks into her life and asks her to find someone he loves. Mel can never say no to someone in need and would have never guessed all the things she does.

Potential

This story could have been a lot more than what it was. The book should have been longer which would have enabled the author to develop the storyline more. the narrator could have also been better, heroines choices were also extremely questionable
