USEFUL

The authors have clearly thought this through. Not only do they present the listener with common use cases and design patterns for the application of blockchain tech to solve problems, they present working code. While the code is not linked to any repo (as far as I can tell), the examples are simple and clear enough to copy by hand and get them running. Recommended

highly recommended

This book gives a useful high-level survey of blockchain applications, platforms, tools, resources, etc. listening this book you will get a sense of how sweeping the effects of blockchain are likely to be -- it's definitely a huge deal. You will also get the sense that this is the wild west, and that you had better be darned careful if you want to play in this space.

The book also helps you get started by giving you step-by-step instructions for doing some simple things with blockchain, e.g. building a private Ethereum blockchain in a Docker container. This helps to make things more concrete.
