Publisher's summary

The interviews contained within this book span three Crypto Hipster Podcast seasons. From the beginning of Season One today, the role of the media covering the crypto industry has shifted. In its early days, crypto was largely associated with illegal activities like drug trafficking and money laundering. To an extent, some politicians and banking executives want you to continue to think that because of their own self-interest. The media highlighted these activities and painted a negative picture of the crypto space. Over the years, the media's understanding of the crypto industry has grown and many legitimate use cases for cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology are stressed in mainstream publications like Bloomberg and The Wall Street Journal.

Often, reports still focus on stories of people losing money in crypto investments. While investing in crypto is not without risks, any form of investment carries risk. Investing in stocks, real estate, or any other asset class also comes with risks. The media's focus on negative stories related to crypto is bias that creates an inaccurate picture of the industry.

Blockchain technology used to be complicated to understand. Not so much anymore. While the technology behind cryptocurrencies and blockchain may seem complex, it is unnecessary to understand every technical detail to invest in crypto. There are many resources available, including the plethora of books I have written about blockchain and podcasts on the subject I have hosted, that can help people understand the basics of crypto investing.

Crypto, now commonly referred to as Web Three, is easier than ever before. There are many user-friendly platforms and wallets available that make it easy for anyone to invest in crypto. One of the biggest advantages of investing in crypto is the potential for high returns. Many people have made significant gains by investing in cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and Ethereum. It is important to do your own research and invest wisely. Hopefully, through my podcasts and conversations like the ones in this book, they can serve as a guide or aid in your crypto journey.

This forty-sixth and final book in the Crypto Hipster Chronicles series, entitled "Block Berry, Block Banana, and Block Sky Action" draws from seven Crypto Hipster Chronicles podcasts. Michael J. Casey, Chief Content Officer at CoinDesk, shares why widespread crypto adoption is coming much sooner than you think. Brian H. Kerr, founder of Kava, shares his journey in creating a decentralized finance platform that manages over $1 billion in assets under management. James Fahy, co-founder of JUSTTIP™, shares how he is helping to transform the service industry for tipped employees. Jonny Fry, co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Team Blockchain Ltd. Explores the concept of nudge economics and discusses how blockchain technology is disrupting the $200 billion rewards points industry. Samaira Mehta, a thirteen-year-old technology entrepreneur, shares her entrepreneurial journey and vision on creating an inclusive, equitable technology-based future for Generation Z. Sergey Vasylchuk, founder of decentralized exchange Everstake, discusses his initiative for Ukraine citizens displaced by war with Aid for Ukraine donation program. And Richard Carthon, Managing Member of Acacia Digital and host of Crypto Current podcast, tells us how to identify early crypto opportunities and build conviction to make life-changing profits. I hope you find this book both educational and useful in your crypto and life journey.
