Publisher's Summary

Thanks to a jealous divine, whenever Chase Butler comes anywhere near Miriah, she turns into a chameleon. While her hopes of having a happily ever with Mr. Right are dashed, she’s determined to have the next best thing: a perfect Christmas.

Finding a puppy for her son, dodging the unwanted attention of her divine fling of an ex, and keeping on top of a holiday charity drive for local pet shelters sure is complicated when prone to transforming into a 12-inch lizard with a severe allergy to snowbanks.

Since blending in has gotten her nowhere fast, she’s going to have to pull out all the stops to get what she wants, even if it lands her on Santa’s naughty list.

Warning: This holiday story contains excessive humor, action, excitement, adventure, magic, romance, and bodies. Proceed with caution.

Terrible narration but great story

I absolutely adore this book! It's one of my top favorite stories by this author, but ye Gods, the narration is abysmally bad. The narrator has a very rhythmic, droning cadence and pauses at incorrect points in sentences, often making the story difficult to follow. She's also terrible at voices. The voice of Chase, the lead male, is completely indistinguishable from at least two other characters (his father and his family doctor) and even sometimes from the female lead. This, again, makes the story difficult to follow. If you're trying to decide between book vs audiobook on this one, the book is 100% the way to go. Listening to this one is very frustrating.

Fun story not so great narration

The story was humorous (she turns into a chameleon who can use a computer after all) and the mystery kept the story moving. It’s nice to have a romance that isn’t reduced to sex and innuendo all the time. The narrator doesn’t do emotion or accents well. Her tone is too nasal. Worst of all, she adds in pauses that are not grammatically in sentences constantly. Very distracting.

A good read, not a good listen

I really like RJ Blain books, they are funny and enjoyable to listen to... as long as you have a good narrator! Nicole Blessing is an ok narrator but NOT for RJ Blain books. Please go back to Courtney Holly.
