Blaze Cross doesn't want drama. He doesn't do drama. In fact, he normally doesn't even do people. He's a small town veterinarian, who specializes in horses. When he goes to Kentucky to meet with a horse dealer who might know something about the Conquistador Gold, he picks up a stray phone on the ground. One he means to get back to the owner, until he's searched by drug dogs at the airport. Later, when the phone keeps going off, he finds himself reading messages. Messages he shouldn't be reading, but can't stop.
Eden Cappa doesn't want to be stuck in grief. It's been almost a year since her husband passed and between her time in a hospital to get help and the time she spends defending herself to her family that she REALLY is okay, all she wants to do is get away from it all.
