Publisher's Summary

The cheeky, larger-than-life drag queen and outrageous comic - "The Joan Rivers of the Drag World" (New York Times) - who isn’t afraid to shock or offend brings her trademark acerbic wit and sharp commentary to this uproarious collection of advice.

When it comes to insult comics, Bianca Del Rio is in a class by herself. Fierce, funny, and fabulous - a would-be love child sired by John Waters and birthed by Joan Rivers - Bianca sandblasted her name in the annals of pop culture on RuPaul’s Drag Race. Thanks to her snarky frankness, impeccable comedic timing, and politically incorrect humor, she became the show’s breakout star, winning its sixth season.

In Blame It on Bianca Del Rio, Bianca shares her opinions loudly and proudly, offering raucous, hilarious, no-holds-barred commentary on the everyday annoyances, big and small, that color her world, and make it a living, albeit amusing, hell for anyone who inhabits it. A collection of biting advice filled from Bianca’s twisted universe, Blame It on Bianca Del Rio will shock you and keep you laughing. But be warned: it is not for the faint of heart!

I love Bianca but...

I have to say I was very disappointed in this book. It's OK but not the fall down laughing book I thought it would be. I thought it would be like watching her do her thing when she is on stage or TV. However, the book felt forced and not the fast wit and adlib humor that Bianca is famous for.

I don't know who to blame but this book is a bore.

Works on stage, not as a disembodied voice

As much as it pains me to disparage anything from a drag queen- I have to say that this brand of insult comedy does not work in audio book form. In full drag regalia, on stage, live in person it has heart. Here in a disembodied voice it just comes across as mean-spirited taunting. I cannot recommend.

Liza has one note - Bianca has one joke

Abysmal effort from such a talented queen. Hoped for a lot more than warmed over Joan Rivers.

Kind of a Letdown

Huge Bianca fan, but faked reads for made up scenarios does not make for good entertainment. Maybe it doesn't translate well into an audio book, but someone should have thought of that from the get go. I'm happy to support such a smart and funny artist, so I'm not looking at this as a waste, but if it were anyone else, I absolutely would.

Fans Will Love!

Great performance from Bianca Del Rio, of course! Probably would've been better to also have the book to follow along. I think it might have pictures that give her reads some context. It's just a solid 5 hours of Bianca reading fan mail and answering it with her signature style, which is best heard in her voice!

Fun and funny

Bianca is hysterical, the book is a bit long to listen to her be so hysterical for. But the material was fresh the whole way through. And I like that even as the material got say happier she did not break character.

disappointing - as usually I am 100% Bianca

Its a bit too mean and the comedy doesn't translate well via the book. I found it a really tough listen and had to stop about 30 minutes in.

Literally lol-ing

This book is a hilarious compilation of Bianca realness. She had me actually laughing out loud in my office with the hilarity and amazing narration she has.

Amazing

I loved everything about this book, it's hilarious. If you can't take a joke you probably shouldn't buy. Having been a fan of BDR for years I knew what to expect and wasn't disappointed in the least. BUY THIS!!

It's "meh" for me

Didn't really know what I was getting myself into, but expected a bit more. She's just answering letters the whole time. Thought it is funny, I often got bored of her cocky answers.

Excerpts from the rolodex of hate

Good that Bianca herself read this.

Of course it was more "studio-ey" than on TV but that also made it easier to understand.
