More editing with audiobook

reader drops the "F" bomb when he makes a mistake and says
"Back in the back in the medieval times, charcoal and charcoal residue called coke, are primarily used to fuel the F*(k."
the sentence is then corrected saying Forge.
It did catch me off guard and made me laugh.

Informative and Simple

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It's brief but interesting and easily digested. Comes with a fair amount projects that walk you step by step through creating some of your own tools. A very good jumping off point for anyone looking to begin blacksmithing.

Enjoyed the listen, minus the language edit

very informative, but dropping the "f" word without an edit is unacceptable. Listen for yourself

You said "fuck"

I think 8 minutes in, around the beginning anyway, not sure if you can fix it but I figured I'd let you know.
The book was good otherwise.

Content is basic, but good.

The content is very high level blacksmithing information. The plans/instructions for tools in the end would be better in print than audio format. I didn't particularly care for the narrator. Often his diction and the inflection in his voice would throw me off as he would end a declarative statement as if it were a question or he wasn't sure.

Overall ok, but wish it had more than an hour of content to be worth a credit.

Great Book if you are interested in Blacksmithing.

What about Nicholas Santasier’s performance did you like?

Santasier’s performance is a master of reading these guides and making them easy and enjoyable to listen to.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

A very informative and exciting LISTEN. Finished it in no time flat. An emphasis more on practical forge work than anything else, which is probably the best place for beginners to start.

Any additional comments?

Bought this for my husband because he has had a lifelong interest in Blacksmithing. He is extremely pleased with the information the book contains, from fluxing to setting up his shop.
I used this book for my class to discuss Blacksmithing. This book is spectacular helpful for me indeed!

Good book with lots of information

Probably one of the best overall introductions to Blacksmithing and tool making on the market. A great many books are totally technical, but Arthur Livingston gives more of a feel for the practice, something that cannot be had from the technical books that will fill out one's library if you decide to pursue it.

Google the author to really get a idea of his experience and that experience is reflected in these books , full of good illustrations that match the paragraphs almost like he is teaching you right there by example and words . The author was a teacher of art for years and the book lay out matches that experience, I wish most how to books were written this way . A real joy to listen and learn from .

Helpful Guide Book

My dad was planning to open a blacksmith shop and my brother bought this book for him.And I can tell that he is satisfied with the information he gets from this book. I also have a chance to listen this book and I can tell that this book is really good. This book is a must have for every beginning or intermediate blacksmith. It details the process of blacksmithing from the start till the end, beginning with the building of your own forge to making tools and even some elaborate door knockers. This is all written in a very easy to understand and easy to listen style. The only drawback is the way the book looks. It is bound in a rather amateurism way for a book of this quality. Anyway, this book is worth to listen and recommend.
