This is erotica with a capital E.......

Blackmailing My Internet Hotwife was an extremely explicit story of Jimmy, a police officer, who married his high school sweetheart, Annette. Although this was classified as erotica, and I expected it to be plenty racy, that was not my overall problem with the story. The sex scenes were well written for this genre, but I had such a difficult time with how selfish, spoiled and cruel Annette was throughout the story until the very end. I felt that her husband deserved so much better treatment than she ever gave him. At the end of the story, she somewhat redeems herself, but it was too little too late in my opinion. If you remove the erotica portion of the story, the author actually pens an interesting mystery/suspense aspect to the story that I enjoyed.

Bolton HIll is the reason I was interested in this audiobook, and he did not disappoint. He has such a deep, resonant voice, and he was perfect for the part of a Jimmy, a tough (on the job) police detective. I would definitely listen to anything read by Hill, and his performance bumped up an otherwise low score on the review.

The narrator ruined the story

This narrators diction was so terrible it reminded me of the famous/infamous Microsoft Sam. It was robotic and he stopped in the middle of sentences. The voices were way to similar if not the same. If you can't do female don't try

A straying wife, cop, and seedy situations

ED can be hard on relationships but is it due to lack of excitement, status quo, or just the mind? What’s a wife to do and is she safe to let loose and live a little. Is payback ok? This story broaches on it and some possibilities. Can there be a happily ever after?

This is going to be an odd review. I did not finish this book because it just wasn't my thing. Based on the title and genre I thought I knew what to expect but I guess this just pushed my own personal boundaries too much. in a lot of ways, this book was psychological. How much cheating will this husband take? Why does he feel this way? How far will the wife go? The story itself is well written and the narrator is excellent. I gave it a good rating because even though it's not my thing and not where I wanted the story to go, it doesn't mean the writing is bad. In a lot of ways, it was excellent writing because it illicit a lot of thought and emotion out of me causing me to DNF.
