A great MUST-LISTEN series!!

In my review of an earlier book in this series I wrote that it is more about the vivid characters and their repartee than about the story. With Black to Reality it's about the wonderful story filled with intense suspense as well as the great vivid characters and the clever repartee among them. I want book 5 in the series audiobook format! The audiobooks in this series are better than the Kindle versions because of the incredible narration of RC Bray.

Another great read in thevRC Bray/Black series!

I love this series with the fast reparte and colorful characters, it's hard to put it down. I kept wanting to get back to the book every chance I got. I was sorry to get to the end...

Rock On Mr Black!

I am writing this at 9:17 pm election night, so pardon my brevity. This is a fun, totally unique setting for a murder mystery. And its a really well written story.

Imagine a famous songwriter/guitarist who, by 23 had sold 70,000,000 albums. 20 years later he is a broke, though happy private investigator. And its been 20 years since he picked up a guitar! Nevertheless his poor finances force him into an undercover investigation of a reality TV Rock Band contest.

Full of funny and resourceful characters, clever banter and dominated by, literally, a fat cat, Black To Reality is a really fun read.

Best of a great series, so far.

If you are buying this book, read the first two first. Clever and funny noir detective, Artemis Black is a lovable hoot. This book answers some background questions one may have had from the first two books, although each book can stand on its own. Russell Blake is the perfect voice for this first person narrative. Can't wait to start the next.

To save money, buy the inexpensive kindle version and add the audio option for two bucks.

Great series

Great detective series with laugh out loud humor. The narrator is a perfect fit for the story. I'm disappointed that book 5 is not an audio book.

Great narration!

Would you listen to Black to Reality again? Why?

Yes. I had already read the book but was home sick and found it an enjoyable way to pass the time.

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

Yes. In wasn't sure who was behind the drama until the end.

Have you listened to any of R.C. Bray’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I listened to him narrate the other books in the BLACK series. This was was great.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Mugsy rules!
