Publisher's summary

One princess. Two realms. And a reckless choice that could destroy kingdoms....

I never thought I’d become friends with Neeve, the stepsister I didn’t want, even though she has everything. Everything, that is, except the one thing she truly desires…which is where things went terribly wrong. Now I’m the only one who can help her, even though she doesn’t want to be rescued.

But saving Neeve might cost me my freedom, my world, and even my heart. Can I bear to make that sacrifice? Do I even have the choice?

A fantasy fairy tale weaving elements of Snow White and Rose Red with romance, magic, and dangerous secrets that will change the fate of two worlds.

Black as night

I love this series so much! I love the magic and wonder along with the action and drama. The characters feel so real and Rose has definitely matured more in this book. I need the next book! I need to know what’s going to happen to the characters I love so much. I loved getting lost in this world and never wanted it to end. Rose is an amazing character. There were some intense twists and turns that had me nervous to know what would happen next. The narrator also did a fantastic job with the emotions and bringing these characters to life

Fantastic

This is book 2 in the series and it was even more adventurous and magically than the first. We followed Rose and and Neeve into the dark Forrest and into the world of Elfhame. But war is brewing in Raine, read Black as Night to find out if they can make it back in time to stop it. I can’t wait to see what happens next!

Amazing!

This series is so amazing I can’t even get over it! I’m dying for book three! I love the way the story is written because I feel like I can picture everything down to the smallest detail. Rose has so much complexity and you can’t help but become completely entranced with the story. I love the different relationships throughout the book and how creative and exciting it is until the end!

Amazing Second Book

I was so excited to get this book after having listened to the first book. I came to love the characters and couldn't wait to find out what happened next. The characters have grown up but are still the same ones I loved from the first book. The author did a great job with the story and kept me wanting more. The narrator did a wonderful job with the voices and giving each character their own.

I loved that Rose is the heroine. She isn't perfect and has her own issues but she will do anything for those she loves. Neeve and her relationship may have been rocky but they care so deeply for each other. I just can't get over how much I love this world and these characters and how badly I want book 3 now! Love these books.

never the same

I love the relationship between Rose and Neeve and Thorne and the Prince. Rose grows up more in this book. I was shocked when Neeve grabs the prince to go thru the portal because Neeve believes it is her birthright.Rose is willing to give up her freedom to save Neeve and the Prince. My heart was breaking for Thorne when he hears that Rose will marry the king to save her sister. I was saddening that with what Neeve did but her life and the life of the prince in jeopardy. I was happy when Rose get to come home when they find our she is a fire mage.I can't wait to see how this ends and how Neeve learns what she has done effects all. I love this second book in Darkwook and can't wait to see what happens next. Anthea wrote a great story and Amy did a good job bringing it to life.

Wow finally!

So much magic in this book! Wow I was wondering how things would turn out ut after each curve ball throne at Rose but it was amazing how the story progressed. I could make some guesses and I was right but other times I was blindsided by the story! I have so many more questions! I can't wait for the next book!

Black as Night is AWESOME

Rose returns home with her life barely due to the “Fire Priests” that attempted to take her life and all those with her. The Prince has decided he wants Neeve and actually attempts to propose, which the King puts a halt to. The harvest is upon them and the elves are returning home when Neeve and the Prince make a dash for the portal and enter it. Thorne and Rose attempt to get back to retrieve Neeve. Rose ends up almost being mated with the Dark Lord, Neeve wants to marry her Prince, yet she has a devastating blood disorder that does not allow her to come back to the human world Thorne brings Rose home, things go from bad to worse to good and Rose and Thorne declare their feelings to each other. When those darn Fire Priest are deciding to make an appearance.

Every book just gets better and better!! So looking forward to book 3!!
