In Last Breath, the rain brought a new and dire threat to Morganville and its vampires...their ancient enemies, the draug. Now, the vampires are fighting a losing war, and it will fall to the residents of the Glass House - Michael, Eve, Shane, and Claire - to take the fight to an enemy who threatens to destroy the town, forever. Lovers of Morganville, rejoice: Black Dawn takes the intrigue, romance, and nail-biting suspense of the series to its highest level yet.

Would you try another book from Rachel Caine and/or Angela Dawe?

Yes....but i do not like Angela Dawe as the narrator for the Morganville Vampire series. She totally changed the characters personalities. Mernon and Eve are not even close. So dissapointed. They should have stuck with Cynthia Holloway.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Angela Dawe?

Cynthia Holloway

Very dissapointed

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

NO would not reccommend. I have listened to all the Moragnville books so far and I can't even finish this one.

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

I'm sure the story is great, but I would rather read this one than listen, probably will buy the paperback.

How could the performance have been better?

There is a new person reading this story and, in my opinion does a poor job. the narration has more emotion than the characters. the narration is sharp and hard to listen to. The charachters all sound like they are on valium or high, there is no emotion. It is very hard to listen to the story as the last reader did wonderful voices for the characters. I can't finish the book

Do you think Black Dawn needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

I think it needs a re-read by Cynthia Holloway and more books as this is a great story

Any additional comments?

PLEASE - Have Cynthia Holloway re-read this; I would even buy it again to hear the story with some emotion

It is a DIFFERENT Morganville

Any additional comments?

What happened to Cynthia Holloway?!? This narrator is really bad and talks like Captin Kirk. Will not get the next book if she is reading it. I could have done a better job.

What happened to Cynthia????

What made the experience of listening to Black Dawn the most enjoyable?

I absolutley love this book, i have read all the series and this is my favorite. I feel like you get to see the characters grow before your eyes. I however did not care for the new narrator. We have got to listen to the to the same person for the entire series until this one and really disapointed. I hope they change before the next book, but that being said, i cant wait for the next book.

What about Angela Dawe’s performance did you like?

Did not care for it at all, sorry

Love this series

Yes, we all hate change, but as we are told the previous narrator wasn't available. I had just listened to the previous three books so I did notice the difference... briefly. But Angela did just as good a job as Cynthia, just a bit different. Nothing bad about the narration at all.

Come on folks, its not like we're talking about Jim Dale sorts of narrators with tons of unique voices here... with either of them.

My favorite book out of the last 4 in the series.

Give Angela a break!!
