I'm Jessica, a city girl in a small town where everyone's got eyes on me. Back in Chicago, I was the prime suspect with the local police when my boss got helped along to the afterlife. Despite full exoneration, my new reputation followed me wherever I went, and left me without a job.

Leaving town was my only option, and starting over as my own boss in Foxberry Falls, Virginia, was my solution. When another murder happens in my new digs, it's deja vu all over again.

The suspicious sheriff has me in his crosshairs, but I'm not going down without a fight. With my pot-smoking neighbors and a sneaky black cat by my side, I'm determined to unravel this web of deceit before it captures me.

Without even knowing it, I'm edging closer to the truth, but also closer to danger.
