Birth of a Settlement

Thomas Worden was alone with no living family on the dirty,cold docks in London, England in 1627 hoping to get on any ship that would take him far away from the memories of his mother and father's death, and the tough life they all had. Captain Henry Powell knew of his life, and how he and his father worked for years on the docks, and never had anything. Captain Henry Powell would take Thomas to Barbados to start a new life, to begin a new settlement, but little did they both soon learn that they, and their close friends would be pushed off this island, and have the political turmoil threaten their new found freedom. What future was there for Thomas, and his small band of loyal friends when they were sent to sea, and they all have heard of a place called the Carolina's, and how would they get there! Their adventures at sea would in time bring them to the lowlands of Carolina, and how would they survive?
