Publisher's summary

Maybe it was a grandparent, or a teacher, or a colleague. Someone older, patient and wise, who understood you when you were young and searching, helped you see the world as a more profound place, gave you sound advice to help you make your way through it. For Mitch Albom, that person was Morrie Schwartz, his college professor from nearly 20 years ago.

Maybe, like Mitch, you lost track of this mentor as you made your way, and the insights faded, and the world seemed colder. Wouldn't you like to see that person again, ask the bigger questions that still haunt you, receive wisdom for your busy life today the way you once did when you were younger?

Mitch Albom had that second chance. He rediscovered Morrie in the last months of the older man's life. Knowing he was dying, Morrie visited with Mitch in his study every Tuesday, just as they used to back in college. Their rekindled relationship turned into one final "class": lessons in how to live.

Tuesdays with Morrie is a magical chronicle of their time together, through which Mitch shares Morrie's lasting gift with the world.

Haven't Read It? Then Listen

This is a book well worth the read. If you haven't read it then download it and listen. A book reminds us that relationships past and present is the only thing important in our lives. On our death bed we will review our relationships and what they mean, not our wealth or possessions. Mitch Albom reminds of this truth and the importance of all our relationships

my favorite book

I have to say that's my favorite book (although I don't read alot). I'd purchase like ten copies of this book in these few years as a gift to friends I love. That's how much I love the book.
I think it helps, open our eye sight up.

I see why this is required reading

This is a book that is required reading in schools across America. All of those teachers can't be wrong. I had always wanted to read this. I am glad I listened instead. This is a heart warming story that made me cry in the end. The audio was excellent and Mitch Albom does a wonderful job of narration. The bonus is Morrie's own words at the end. If you have ever had an interest in this book, the audio will not disappoint.

Glad I Did

This is one of those books that I had on my list to read "someday" and I'm glad I did. I didn't find it as earth shattering as some reviews I've read, but it was good mostly because it was a real and not fiction. Actually hearing Morrie's voice affected me much more than the narrators - a real reason to get this from audible rather than reading a hard copy.

Tuesdays With Morrie

Absolutely wonderful book. I had read the book before, but I could not get the feel that I received when I heard the book being read by the author, Mitch Albom. I know exactly what he went through, because my Grandmother passed away a few years back. I did not go and see her on Tuesdays, though, our day was Friday. She had cancer, and the same problem Morrie had, her body was degrading, but her mind was in perfect condition.
I recommend this book to anyone who has suffered a loss similar to the loss of Morrie, and my Grandmother, because it truly makes you feel better, and lets you know that you are not the only one that has suffered a loss like that. Gave me great comfort when I read it, and even more when I listened to it. Thank You Audible.com and Thank You Mitch Albom.

what a listen

The author takes us on a journey from heart warming to heart breaking as he tells us about his weekly visits with his old college professor, now terminally ill. Thank you Mr. Albom for sharing your friendship with your professor. I wish I could've met him myself!

One of my favorite audiobooks

I had read this book and I got it on audiobook because I liked it so much. The audiobook gives it even more nuance and meaning because it is read by the author. Mitch Albom does a terrific job with the reading. I particularly like how he imitates what Morrie's voice sounded like. Plus, there's a great bonus at the end where there are some clips of Mitch's interviews with Morrie.

vastly overrated

This little book held no appeal for me. I found it shallow and sappy.
