Publisher's summary

He was the most influential man of his day. The movement that began with his posting of the 95 Theses reshaped Europe, redirected Christian history, and recovered the truth of God's word. Five hundred years later, what is Luther's legacy? In this volume, R. C. Sproul, Stephen J. Nichols, and 13 other scholars and pastors examine his life, teaching and enduring influence. Meet Martin Luther, the mercurial Reformer who, out of love for the truth and the desire to bring it to light, set the world ablaze.

Every believer should know something of him

Very good
Now I know why there was a break and and who started and where came from and he took the ball and ran with it and other people got in line after him I think every believer should know of him and something about his life

A simple man..

Book was pretty good overall. Because of the number of writers there was quite a bit of overlap in stories. I appreciated the time spent on Luther and Calvin. There was two quotes from John Piper in the last chapter... in my opinion that is two too many.

A great historical work!

A great historical work ,combine with sound and robust theological thought. every Christian must read this book to gain a sound historical perspective as to why we are protestant and the role of Martin Luther as an instrument for the Reformation. Luther is an example of a great God Who works through flawed men .

So that's why we celebrate that way!

R.C. Sproul has always been one of my favorite Bible teachers. Bob Souer is an outstanding narrator. The best and the best. If your interested in reformation church history or Martin Luther. Then get this book and listen to it. You will listen again.
