Profound
Profound description of situations in her life, specially joys and obstacles of the foundation of the discalced Carmelite order. Deep sharing of emotions, doubts and reassurances of faith as well as interactions with Our Lord in moments of rapture.
Teresa’s life is a great companion and a soul mate in tribulations of faith.

Hopeful
The account of this woman's life was remarkable. However, it could have been edited a little. She tended to table and repeat herself. The content was, nonetheless very inspiring. It have me hope that this wretched soul also had a chance to achieve sainthood.

Moving account of a life devoted to God
Listening to this production was a wonderful experience. Even thought Teresa's life is so different from mine, she became a friend as I listened to her story. Definitely recommend!

Life changing.
This spoke to my spirit in so many ways. Thank you Dear Lord for using St. Teresa to teach us the importance of spending time with you in prayer. This book encourages us to “choose what is better” Luke 10:38-42

Good
I read a lot of reviews with some concern about the author or about the original book in general. I think for one who has a Catholic background these concerns are valid. But I believe that in the reading/listening of this book nothing of faith is lost. I thoroughly enjoyed it as a entry level into the life of Saint Theresa of Avila. And I want more of her!

Teresa in her own words
Interesting accounts from this humble woman. I enjoyed this book and the reader. She details many times in her life and personal accounts with Mary, Jesus, her guardian angel and other saints.

An excellent book read by an excellent narrator!
About this book:
I found this book a great blessing in my spiritual path that the Lord is leading me. This reassures the little experiences that I had and more that i would expect on the way. It throws great light on how holy and dedicated people were and are for God. It show how gracious and merciful He is to Love and lead us if we give him the opportunity.
Narrator:
I would quickly touch upon the performance of the narrator. She had done an excellent job in narrating as if we hear from the author itself with all the expressions. It was very pleasant to hear through the whole book without any pain. I would love to find another autobiography (maybe other books as well) read by the author and listen to it.
