Publisher's summary

Through anecdotal humor, Jim Lindsey shares tales of growing up in the South; life in Hollywood as an actor, model, and advertising executive; falling in and out of love; raising children; and living in the turbulent times we face.

In poems and jokes, quotes and stories, Jim paints a picture of a long life lived within the wide boundaries of love and loss, joy and sorrow. He shares his story so that listeners are taken back to a simpler era in our nation and given inspiration to return to those roots.

Southern as Grits

I loved this book, being born and raised in the South. Mr. Lindsey's accent and cadence of speech is something of which I am quite familiar. I do advise listening to the sample of you aren't from the South only because it might be off putting it is not familiar to you. I loved the book, I loved the stories, the humor and the author's delivery. It was only a bit over an hour long and I had no desire to not listen all the way through. Easily listened to in one sitting. Made me think of all the times I sat and listened to my Dad or Uncles telling stories of their lives. A+
