Mother Teresa: The Saint of Calcutta

Mother Teresa is one of the most celebrated figures from the last millennium. For more than 50 years, she did things that announced her to the entire world. A polite and humble figure, loved and criticized in equal measures, this audiobook celebrates the life of a little nun from Albania who taught the whole world a lesson.

This is what you will learn inside:

The audiobook is divided into four chapters, each dealing with a tenet that concerns the life of Mother Teresa of Calcutta. In 2015, the Catholic Church canonized her, thus elevating her to the highest point all Catholics want, that of a saint. This is despite the considerable criticism levelled against her.

The audiobook also looks at the challenges Teresa faced when she started a charity congregation with just five rupees and a sari. There are the lessons she taught the world through her anecdotes and sayings as well.

The audiobook takes a deep look at the criticism levelled against her, offers a profile of her critics and the response to the criticism. While the media will look at the sensational headlines about this topic, the book's approach is deep and puts the whole issue into perspective.

Decent story, mesmerizing performance

This introduction to Mother Teresa's life was decent; I would have liked more details. The chapters on her teaching were the best.
The narrator's voice was calm, and captured the spiritual nature of Mother Teresa. I could listen to her all day!

I'velearned most of the biographies on her and consider this one the best by far. It is thorough, sensitive, with many details not found in others. More than well worth to listen

MOTHER OF NATION

This was an interesting book if all you wanted to know was what Mother Teresa did for building helpful Christian communities around the world. It also gave the reader information about the important people she met and how involved she was involved in achieving some changes in helping the "poorest of the poor."GREAT NOVEL

very good

This is an excellent book that talks about many different aspects of a spiritual life. Mother Teresa writes in a very simple and understandable way to walk you through her very simple path to God. She emphasizes actions as a way of showing love and getting closer to God, but not actions within themselves. It's a connection with God which made her able to live in such conditions and work with those whom everyone else rejecting and whom she knew would probably die. And when she obeyed God and did what he asked, she became closer to him.suggested guide

Mother teresa inspirational

What was one of the most memorable moments of Mother Teresa: A Life of Love - Lessons of Wisdom and Humanity?

Towards the end of the book, it talks about the criticism she's had throughout her life from different groups of religious people. Personally it surprises me that many people are so 'offended' by her when all she does is promote peace. Her religion being different from yours shouldn't deter you from listening to this book.

Any additional comments?

I'm a big fan of mother teresa and her teaching of peace, unity, and love for all people and religions around the world. This audiobook is more of a guide but goes into all the important aspects of why she's regarded as a saint.
