Number-one New York Times best-selling author and investigator Ian Halperin pulls back the curtain on America's notorious Kardashian family - exposing their shaky foundation for fame - one shocking revelation at a time.
The Kardashians and Jenners have taken the world by storm, collectively rising to superfame after making their reality show debut on E! with Keeping up with the Kardashians in 2007. Since then, their family life has remained a constant circus of tabloid headlines, red carpet appearances, branding deals, reality shows and their spin-offs, and a slew of media coverage. As revered and polarizing as royalty, the Kardashians have stolen the celebrity spotlight - and they show no signs of giving it up. And yet, amid their megasuccess, the Kardashians have faced a firestorm of negative publicity over the years - particularly over Kris Jenner's role in the family. As matriarch and momager of the Kardashian clan, Kris has been accused of exploiting her children for fame and money and playing the media like a deck of cards.
Based on extensive research, Ian Halperin delivers the salacious details behind the Kardashians' rise to fame. With revelations exposing the family's foundation as shaky at best and scandalous at worst, Halperin scrutinizes their self-made multimillion-dollar brand. Focusing on three key players - Kris Jenner, Rob Kardashian, and (formerly Bruce) Caitlyn Jenner - Halperin provides an unparalleled glimpse into the events and scandals that have propelled the Kardashians to worldwide celebrity, for better or worse.
There is absolutely nothing new in this book. If you keep up with all the magazines and gossip sites you already know everything that's in this book. Not worth it.

Nothing dramatic or new as far as the Kardashian story. It's one long recap of watching the show...don't waste your time.
The impersonations are HORRIBLE as well.

nothing you wouldn't know by watching the show or even just perusing People once in awhile.

All the stuff in this book is already out. Nothing new was said. Could have been better.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
A nice chronologically told account that draws heavily from the books Kardashian Confidential and All Things Kardashian. It is nice to hear their whole story told all at once, instead of in bits and pieces.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Kardashian Dynasty?
Hearing Holter Graham act out the different voices cracked me up, especially when he does the voice of Kim.
Which character – as performed by Holter Graham – was your favorite?
Holter Graham's Kim Kardashian impression, tho...
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Gotta admit I cried a little when it talked about Robert Kardashian's death.
Any additional comments?
A really fun listen, if you're a fan. If you're not, this will be your hell.

Too much detail about OJ Simpson, Paris Hilton, and other ancillary "characters" without enough detail about the actual family. No real details about the kids, especially Kendall and Kylie, and a decidedly negative spin on the matriarch "momager". All of the family members are "famous" in their own right and the entire story focused on Kris and Kim with virtually no focus on any of the other children. There was so much more that could have been told but was left out for the chance to slam Kris and Kim at every turn. You don't have to love the Kardashians but there is more to their story than OJ and Paris and their contributions to the family's rise to fame.

Nothing new here. The voice interpretations get a bit old quickly. Was hoping for more depth.

Would you try another book from Ian Halperin and/or Holter Graham?
Maybe. Not about people who are overexposed in the media. There is no new facts here.
Has Kardashian Dynasty turned you off from other books in this genre?
Almost. I do wonder why I paid to read material we all already know too much of for free.
What aspect of Holter Graham’s performance would you have changed?
The cocky tone of voice
Did Kardashian Dynasty inspire you to do anything?
Burn my ipad and go to church.
Any additional comments?
Don't bother. If loving to hate the Kardashians is your secret vice, you'll have to hear the same stories we all know and to make it worse, the author LOVES Kris Kardashian and paints her as an innocent Saint and loving mother...So we know who is REALLY behind this book.

This book was like a recap of episodes of Keeping Up. There was nothing in this book that hasn't already been covered in their shows or other news/entertainment media.
