Publisher's summary

On November 22, 1963, Dr. Charles Crenshaw, an accomplished surgeon, tried to save John F. Kennedy's life - and then days later, the life of the alleged assassin, Lee Harvey Oswald. His gripping, firsthand account contradicts the Warren Commission and years of public misperception, and illuminates a chapter in American history long cloaked in conspiracy. Writing with eye-opening immediacy, Dr. Crenshaw takes listeners into the emergency room to share the critical events at Parkland Hospital as he lived them. Now updated, his searing testimony punctures myths and shatters a cover-up of massive proportions.

Too much inflammatory language

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

Yes.

For me, the main issue raised by Dr. Crenshaw is the actual wounds to President Kennedy’s body. Dr. Crenshaw’s eyewitness account needs unqualified corroboration from the other doctors and nurses in the operating room at the time. Clear, concise, and unqualified corroboration will place the Bethesda autopsy results in doubt and require an investigation. Unfortunately, as Dr. Crenshaw pointed out, and there is a historical record of, the Federal, State, and Local law enforcement authorities allowed contamination of the crime scene, pollution of the physical evidence, and improper handling of the victim (President Kennedy). Because of these egregious mistakes we will probably never know the truth of what happened.I do think the Warren Commission was proving a theory they had already decided was fact.

Would you recommend JFK Has Been Shot to your friends? Why or why not?

I do recommend this book. The reader (or listener) just needs to ignore the inflammatory language and listen for the issue and testimony.

Which character – as performed by James C. Lewis – was your favorite?

Unimportant and irrelevant.

Was JFK Has Been Shot worth the listening time?

Yes. Fortunately, it was mostly brief and too the point.

Any additional comments?

Worth reading

Doctors can be silenced...

Dr. Crenshaw reveals the pressure brought upon the Parkland physicians who attended JFK in Trauma Room 1 that fateful day, mostly by Baylor University administrators and foundation members.

In a nation where over 70% of research grants are funded by the DOD, it is not surprising that our "thought leaders" would rather pay their mortgages and keep their children in private schools than be intellectually honest.
President Eisenhower warned of this exact thing in his famous farewell address.

Wish he stuck to just the hospital events

I felt like he dove to far into theories that would be out of the realm of his expertise. I've never once heard that Clint Hill was institutionized. I've also never read theories that Jack Ruby was seen near the grassy knoll with Oswald before the shooting. And basically gave a very detailed account of exactly what happened on the other side of the picket fence. I was interested in the events of trauma room 1. which he gave, but I'd also like to read other Doctors Accounts of the events. It's a shame that they were not able to perform the autopsy before it was egregiously botched.

I just found a lot of the none hospital related material was pretty far fetched

A profile in courage

It took a lot of guts to release this account. Everyone knows that the handling of the President's body and the forensic evidence in Texas was shady, and hearing this first-person recounting reaffirms it.
The writing is sometimes melodramatic, and some of the extrapolation are stretches, but I believe what the doctor says he saw.

Thank the Lord for Dr. Crenshaw !

I have over 35 books on this subject matter and have read them all. This book is one of the two best - in fact I would say that this book has a deeper emotional impact on this national tragedy- perpetrated by the demon- elites (DE) / . The emotion is blended with facts that have been unearthed over time. As an American who see our country through the polluted reality of a DE class that takes us to Panama, Iraq, Ukraine and assassinates either physically or through the purposeful and planned marginalization of people like Senator Church, McGovern and others who nobly attempt to do what is right, while not touching the DE, like a Cheney-or dupes such as W,..... it seems that history truly repeats itself! The world is its victim! A great book and a must read !!! Thank you Dr. Crenshaw and May you rest in Peace!

A really interesting book!

I was 6 months old, living in Sweden when this happened. I've never gone to school in the US. What I learned about it in school in Sweden I didn't really question.

I don't think people would fall for the lies as easily today as they did in 1963. If you have watched "48 hours" or similar shows you know that the exit wound is usually the largest hole. To make a hole large enough to remove a large part of the back/side of the skull you would need a huge caliber weapon! The rifle was supposedly shot from the 6st floor, far above the car.

You would think they would select the best medical examiner to do the autopsy of the president! Instead they selected one who had not performed an autopsy in 20 years! Just that makes me believe they wanted to hide something.

The Swedish Prime Minister Olof Palme was shot and killed 1986. They managed to mess up that investigation as well but I don't think it was intentionally.

Sometimes the free books on Audible are really interesting!

Kinda important.

Conspiracists would be a lot more successful in their quest to change minds if they simply shut up a second and handed this silently to some WC-defender dudebros and let it speak for itself. Might lighten the stigma of silliness you've brought on yourselves for so long. It's only occasionally well-deserved, but that old saw about one batnuts insane apple re the whole bunch... This is clear, concise, objective, and impactful. Not a lot of venturing out on any limbs here. It's a good look, overall. If you have to go proselytizing, go with this as your tract, it might help your case more than.... well, your case.

Another layer of the JFK onion! Revealed.

Really interesting. Details, circumstances and closing some of the JFK assassination loops from a first responder. It’s still a mess. It’s still a shame that RFK, on his role as attorney general couldn’t or didn’t assume the role of chief investigator. Too many mini pockets of power muddying the real facts,
