Honest Account of Heartbreak Many Can Learn From

I wanted to hear Andi's story, and I thought this was a very honest and raw account. She isn't bashing her ex the whole time and, if fact, even throws some compliments his way. Plus, she is very transparent about her part, which doesn't always paint her in the best light. I applaud her bravery and courage to share her story and move on to her next chapter. I think a lot of young women can learn from her. Kudos, Andi and good luck in NYC!

Honesty is the best policy!

I liked the book, and I liked the fact that Andi didn't sugar coat anything. Like her or not, she tells it like it is!! Or should I say her story like it is!! You go girl!

Exactly what I expected

There are some harsh reviews about the book what I would say is it is by far not the most impressive literary work I've ever read. However, what it is, is truthful and funny. Andi says a lot of the things us girls struggling with a broken heart think but may be afraid to say outloud. While of course my recent heart break did not afford me the opportunity to sit around, drink and not leave the house, there were so many relatable moments in the book that made up for the moments where I wanted to scream come on and get it together. Walk into this with the expectation that you will hear a story about a girl with a broken heart and that you will laugh and cringe along the way and you will find what you are looking for. Bonus relatable moments for the girl who has been through emotional abuse... you know that relationship where he didn't hit you but you found yourself doubting your worth because of his words and jealousy. This book is definitely for you.

Trying to be a female Howard Stern

Would you consider the audio edition of It's Not Okay to be better than the print version?

I enjoyed the book overall, but there were times where the cursing seemed very forced. I maybe realized it more since I was listening rather than reading. I just found it to take away from the story.

Would you be willing to try another book from Andi Dorfman? Why or why not?

Probably.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I listened to it in 2 sittings.

Loved this book!

If you are a fan of the Bachelor or the Bachelorette you will love this. If you're going through a breakup and have never seen either show you would also love this!

Honest and refreshing

It took me a little while to get used to the narration and the book but once I did I was hooked. I love books that are honest and vulnerable about what someone has gone through without regard to the consequences. I was always an Andi fan for that reason. I can't get enough of all things The Bachelor and this book didn't disappoint. It's probably the most complete tell-all from the show, and I have read most of them.

Meh

Andi's story dragged on with her non-stop elaborations and metaphors. She didn't reveal nearly as much as I would have liked about her time on the bachelor or as the bachelorette. I listened to the entire thing because I was always hoping it would get better and then by the end I just didn't want to be a quitter.

Raw, real, and ridiculously relatable.

You don't have to have your relationship on TV and break up publicized to be able to relate to this book. Andi's honesty is refreshing and you'll wish you couldn't relate so hard to everything she says, especially if you're going through a break up as well.

It’s exactly what you should expect

I saw a bunch of poor reviews on this book and almost didn’t purchase it because of that. But since I’m a bachelor fan and I was curious for a tell all I did. Honestly, it was much better than an average tell all, and she is a good story teller. It was way better than I expected it to be. But if your buying this, than like me you probably wanted a bachelor tell all. and if that’s what you want, then this is exactly what you should expect, only better.
