Publisher's summary

The first in a series of audiobooks about my son Jodi Shaw, I'm Not Naughty - I'm Autistic- Jodi's Journey explains through humorous true stories, the difficulties faced by parents of autistic children. Whilst there are no two autistic individuals the same, they will all have the same core problems. This book covers many of them, and anyone involved with the disability will identify with the situations described.

Written as if narrated by Jodi himself, the content is easy to understand and illustrates just how easy it is for people to make incorrect assumptions about others because of this invisible disability known as autism. Jodi was a happy. lively. loving baby until he received the MMR vaccine, after which he soon changed into the toddler from Hell. He became withdrawn, lost all language, refused to play, avoided physical contact, could not concentrate or be still and acquired a self-restricted diet. I've told the story from Jodi's perspective,(although actually he's currently a non-verbal thirteen year old), and his story is a fascinating, funny and insightful account of growing up with autism, including the difficulties faced by our family. It reveals how Jodi obtained a diagnosis, the support he's received and above all, how we've managed to live with autism twenty-four hours a day and still retain our sanity!
