Publisher's summary

An entertaining listen about "life", written by a well-traveled man who simply prefers to be "outside" his clothes rather than 'in' them. This is an audiobook for anyone who loves the sun and the joys of "skinny dipping", or who wants to.

Travel with Richard on a global journey, sharing his nude experiences in the Mediterranean, Japan, Hawaii, South Africa, the Caribbean, and the United States. Woven between amusing anecdotes about the nudist lifestyle are thoughts on celebrating nudism, finding a mate, japanese bath house etiquette, cooking in the nude, culinary delights, and nude cruises.

A Most Charming Book by a Wonderful Author

This is an excellent book not only for we like-minded nudists but also for textiles, the curious, and even the families who are puzzled as to why Mum and Dad don't share their photos of Jamaica....
The author/ narrator may sound a bit stodgy to some. To me, he sounded like a wise and treasured grandfather who with that wonderfully dry British humour and wit really brought the books rich character to life. A highly recommended read. In fact, I'm buying copies for friends.

A trip down memory lane

As a nudist, business traveler and soul-searcher, I could relate to Rickard's book all the way through. I could not stop listening. It really made me think, and to be comfortable with who I am, while reminding me of many of the places and experiences that I have in common with him. Hope he writes another one. Well worth it! Oh...non-nudists...you will love this book too! He really know how to capture life in a wonderful way. It's like a travel narrative...without the dress code!

Lovely accent but a boring story

What disappointed you about I'll Catch the Sun?

I was bored about the content of the story. Naked here, naked there. Ok cool, but overall boring. I guess this was an awareness or introduction to the kind of lifestyle to 'the clothed' world. I really thought this story would have more depth than that. I feel like I just heard an old man babble on for five hours. Yawn.....

What could Richard Langdon Cook have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

Details....not on the nudity of course, but on the emotion, the world travel (it was a shame to include all those countries visited and to not have much detail in each of them) and of family dealings (could have researched with fellow nudists regarding their families as well). I could be wrong and just picked the wrong book, but most writers are more detailed.

Have you listened to any of Richard Langdon Cook’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

Boredom and at the end, like I was sold on going to Hearst castle. Was that a commercial? I also felt like there was a lot of hype, and I couldn't help think, was that it?

Any additional comments?

Seems like a nice old man, but not my kind of read I guess.

Wrong narrator

I'm all about nudism and all that, but I don't want to listen to some super old British guy talk about.. it was just weird.
Fine book, I guess. I was too distracted, honestly.
