Publisher's summary

Life is full of choices. Right now, yours is whether or not to buy the autobiography of a mid-grade, kind of hammy actor.

Am I supposed to know this guy? you think to yourself.

No, and that's exactly the point. The truth is that though you might not have a clue who I am, there are countless working stiffs like me out there, grinding away every day at the wheel of fortune.

If Chins Could Kill: Confessions of a B Movie Actor is my first book, and I invite you to ride with me through the choppy waters of blue collar Hollywood.

Okay, so buy the damned book already!

Must read for Evil Dead fans

Despite being about 17 years old, this book is fantastic and Campbell's performance of his own story is great.

Loved it!

First, I do not like biographies or autobiographies. The endless droning about someone's self realization as go on and on about themselves ad naseum. Second, I love Bruce Campbell in all his roles. I got this book ONLY because Bruce Campbell is narrating and I thought it might be mildly entertaining. I was wrong. This book is highly entertaining. Bruce Campbell's wit and witicism show up in both his wrtting and narrating style. There is a natural flow and progression to his story, and the book leads you his life. The really cool part is you learn who Bruce Campbell really is. He is not a typical Hollywood type full of snobery, but a down to earth guy who fought his way to the middle and found he liked it there. He is in fact the same person you enjoy on the screen. If you like Bruce Campbell, read this book. I promise you will enjoy.

B Movie Actor gets an A+

This is essential reading for any Bruce Campbell fan. The stories contained herein are amazing. As he states in the opening chapter, Campbell wrote this book for the working man's actor, not the A list celebrity types. The behind the scenes look at everything from his highschool super 8 films to the likes of Hercules and Xena is fascinating. My personal favorite part is the Emails from fans that he has gotten over the years. They range from inspiring to downright creepy. Mr. Campbell, if you're somehow reading this, you've made my world a little better for a few hours. Thanks a million!

Full of Information

Great book, and it is read by the author himself, the spectacular Bruce Lorne Campbell! he skips around a bit as far as the timeline goes, but it fits with the topic discussed in that moment. his stories are well thought out and presented with clarity. His stories are written with the same level if class and wit that his fans have cone to expect from him. highly recommended. the only complaint is some stories tease you for more. I would love to have heard more about his relationship with the Raimi I family, or time on some shoots. Maybe even some more about rejections he's received.

Always been a Bruce Campbell fan, and it was interesting hearing his story, and straight from his mouth no less! Thoroughly enjoyed every second of the book and would recommend!

Hail to the King, baby

I’ve been a huge fan of Bruce Campbell since... 1987... 88? This book is exactly what you’d expect and everything you could hope for. Bruce’s delivery is terrific (especially an anecdote about the great character actor Brion James).

I’m gonna buy his second book now.

One Groovy Dude

I originally got this book as a character for an Ash inspired character of my own. I wanted to tap into the mind of the person behind the legendary 'hero'. What I got instead was an indispensable guide to survival in the competitive world as a creative individual. Amazing! Thank you so much, Bruce.
