Publisher's summary

Part autobiography, part self-help, part confession, part celebration of being a common-or-garden woman, part collection of synonyms for nunny, Sarah Millican's debut audiobook delves into her super normal life with daft stories, funny tales and proper advice on how to get past life's blips - like being good at school but not good at friends, the excitement of IBS and how to blossom postdivorce.

If you've ever worn glasses at the age of six, worn an off-the-shoulder gown with no confidence, been contacted by an old school bully, lived in your childhood bedroom in your 30s, been gloriously dumped in a Frankie and Benny's, cried so much you felt great, been for a romantic walk with a dog or worn leggings two days in a row even though they smelt of wee from a distance, then this is your audiobook. If you haven't done those things but wish you had, this is your audiobook. If you just want to laugh on a train/sofa/toilet or under your desk at work, this is your audiobook.

Charming, funny and open

I loved this uplifting memoir by Sarah Millican. She peppers her narrative with “fuck” but shares some really valuable insights about how to be more kind to yourself and others. Her accent is soft and relaxing and she is really enjoyable to listen to. #funnymemoir #british #tagsgiving #sweepstakes

Brilliant

The book written in a completely different framework and with Sarah actually reading it is like sitting right next to her while she tells you about her upbringing!! Love it ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Sarah Millican is just hilarious and down to earth

I loved listening to her read her own bio. she is a normal down to earth person with problems and achievements and struggles like all the rest of us. she is incredibly talented and knows how to make you laugh. I really related to her self acceptance and body image issues.. but she also has great ways to get past it and I'll be taking that advice too. I liked her before, but even more now knowing just how human she is.

I love her and I loved her autobiography more

I’ve always laughed and giggled at the Sarah Millican bits and hour long specials I’ve found on the internet, and dream of being able to see her live!! (I promise I’ll make it over to the UK, maybe). And listening to her read her autobiography was amazing, I learned a lot about her, and now know more places I can find her amazing content! She’s witty, smart, vulnerable, strong, and inspires me to follow my dreams and to also just be myself.

Certainly worth a listen.

i wasn't sure what to expect, but i really enjoyed this book, even more so because it's read by the author (I prefer books read by their authors). I find Sarah Millican funny and was intrigued when I saw she had written an auto biography. There's some great tips in here, but overall it's fun and she puts forward a positive outlook and a "can do" attitude.

Funny AND Affirming

I love Sarah Millican’s comedy, but was very pleased and surprised by how positive, welcoming, and affirming she was for this audiobook. I’ve just finished and am buying several copies for friends and family I think will enjoy her story.
