Publisher's Summary

Random House presents the ABRIDGED audiobook edition of Finding My Virginity, written and read by Sir Richard Branson.

Fifty years ago Sir Richard Branson started his first business. In his new autobiography, Finding My Virginity, the Virgin founder shares his personal, intimate thoughts on five decades as the world's ultimate entrepreneur.

In Finding My Virginity, Sir Richard Branson shares the secrets that have seen his family business grow from a student magazine into a global brand, his dreams of private citizens flying to space develop from a childhood fantasy to the brink of reality and his focus shift from battling bigger rivals to changing business for good. Following on from where best-selling Losing My Virginity left off at the dawn of the new millennium, Finding My Virginity takes the listener on a roller-coaster ride with the enigmatic entrepreneur. Learn how Branson created 10 different billion-dollar businesses and hundreds more companies across dozens of sectors, going from a houseboat to his own private island.

But this book goes far beyond the numbers - it is a journey into the heart and mind of Britain's best loved businessman. Join Sir Richard as he juggles working life with raising his children, Holly and Sam; building a marriage with his wife, Joan; and creating a unique company culture. Discover how he created a new life on Necker Island while continuing to grow the Virgin brand into all corners of the world. Get the real story behind adventures and run-ins with everyone from Bill Gates and Rupert Murdoch to Nelson Mandela and Beyoncé. Go behind the scenes as Sir Richard Branson creates the world's first commercial spaceline, Virgin Galactic, and handles the biggest crisis he has ever faced. Get under the skin of world record attempts on land, sea and air, and see how the original business hippy adapted to becoming a doting 'grand-dude' to his three grandchildren, Eva-Deia, Etta and Artie.

This is the true account of how the Virgin founder reinvented himself and his brand for the 21st century while continuing to push boundaries, break rules and reach for the stars in more ways than one. This is the story of the man behind the beard, the business, the bravado and the brand. Find out how the ultimate entrepreneur did it for the first time - all over again.

Just like the others.

I am a true fan of Richard Branson and have enjoyed other books written and read by him. This one is very similar to his others, though it simply seems to bounce from one business success to the next. Small scatterings of personal stories in between, though nearly entirely about the last fifteen years of the Virgin group.

Fans will be happy to listen, neutral listeners may find it a little boring as it gets towards the end.

Good update on Richard Branson

Thoroughly enjoyed this book as an update on Richard's life since the release of Losing My Virginity.

Those who are looking business tips and tricks similar to those contained in Losing may be a bit disappointed though.

Private dinner with Richard

What a beautiful story and an exciting life Richard ! Thank you for all your confidences, it’s like we spent the night together and you shared all your secrets and anecdotes with me. You can hear from Richard himself. So inspiring, so motivating... and so jealous !! Thank you Richard.

Review

So disappointed with this book. Very poorly written and the narration lacks any enthusiasm. Sounds like it was recorded at different locations as the sound alters quite a bit throughout.

I suppose I expected more than a list of business achievements over the past 20 years. Also lacks detail

"I'm not a grandad...I'm a grandude!"

I'm not a grandad...I'm a grandude!" this bit made me laugh out loud.

I'm so inspiring to know that ordinary people really can become and do extraordinary things and be a soulful influence in the world. I have a new found admiration for Richard and his team and a reasured trust in his brand Vergin.

I genuinly enjoyed this audio book start to finish...I was a little sad when it finished actually. I hope to met Richard and The Elders one day...I imagin it'll be like a little acorn looking up at a great tree. Next auidobook - Nelson Mandela!
