Publisher's Summary

For Nikki Goeser it was a day like any other...with one exception. Her husband, Ben, had only 16 hours to live. On that fateful day in Tennessee, the man she loved would be murdered by a beast who was stalking her. In compliance with state law Nikki had left her legal firearm locked in the car. With the help of legislatively created pistol free zones, one evil man gunned down Nikki's husband as she was forced to look on, alone, defenseless and disarmed by an ill-conceived law designed to save her. Listen to this inspiring story of courage through remorse, as one woman struggles to seek justice for the man she loves. Follow Nikki Goeser as she fights to ensure that others are never held victim to the same terrible fate.

Very Moving Yet Factual Story

Nicole Goeser is a wonderful woman who shares her tragic story about a man shooting her husband -- and the legislature that kept her from shooting back. Despite this horrible incident, Nicole is a very smart woman who presents her story in a very factual, reasonable way. She is not some grief stricken maniac. She's a wonderful person and writer. I reccomend this to anyone and everyone of reasonable age to comprehend this. I'd say maybe 10 to 14 years old depending on the person. This is something important for opinionated adults as well as opinion forming children and young adults to learn about and be aware of.

Heart wrenching

This is a sad story of how the law failed Nicole and her husband in many instances. I really felt for her throughout this and hope she found some peace.
