A true American hero
I'm not a big fan of pornography but am passionate about the first Amendment. I first came to admire Flynt when I read about how pro-feminist his publishing company was. He treated women fairly and paid them well . This too short autobiography reveals what a brilliant articulate man he was who hated hypocrisy and the fake morals of the religious right and was willing to be jailed and shot to continue his crusade against these "assholes" as he called them . We need more people like him today. A great read, at times funny, shocking and triumphant.

Captivating
This is the story of an incredibly controversial man- who lived a life that you may not want to recreate for yourself but you cannot help but be intrigued by.
Larry Flynt is many things, but in his complexity, irreverence, obscenity, and even his off-beat soft side, is a force that begs you to evaluate your freedoms, social values, and sex.

Not Highly Recommendable
If you desire things of "virtue," you will not enjoy this book. If you like porn, you will probably enjoy this book. If you want facts, this book provides a few. Just the tip of the iceberg.
