Publisher's Summary

In this book, Corey Taylor undertakes something never before attempted in the history of rock superstardom: he takes you with him as he journeys undercover through various ghostbusting groups who do their best to gather information and evidence about the existence of spirits. Some are more credible than others, and, frankly, some are completely insane, but all are observed with appropriate seriousness as Taylor attempts to better understand some of the spooky things that have happened to him in his life, especially that night at the Cold House.

But that's not all, folks. Taylor once again gives you a behind-the-scenes tour of his crazy life and the many beyond-the-grave events he's encountered. (You'll be shocked how often Slipknot has been invaded by the supernatural). Taylor also touches on his religious background and how it led him to believe in much more than the Man in the Sky.

"I love Corey Taylor...witty, intelligent, brash."

Corey is not afraid to speak his mind but unlike many of his contemporaries he actually backs up his beliefs with sound logic, data and research to make his point. His style and delivery are spot on and entertaining making the reader wanting to know more about the twisted and brilliant mind of the masked lead screamer from Slipknot. Who knew the boy had the ability to string together a series of grammatically correct sentences let alone keep your interest captivated for hours on end? Well done Mr. Taylor, well done!

Thank you for correlating specifics that I previously didn't consider to be completely related into context together. Removed is my proverbial mask. Thank you!

"Not offended easy?, this book is for you."
Where does A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to Heaven rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I would totally give it a 5/5, good detail, and great story.

What was the most compelling aspect of this narrative?

I got to say when he can be serious for one minute then be completely hilarious the next.

Which character – as performed by Corey Taylor – was your favorite?

I gotta say his neighbor that is a fan of his apparently stealing his rake just so he can get Corey's autograph, I died.

If you could give A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to Heaven a new subtitle, what would it be?

Warning, if you are offended easy, this is not for you, period.

    Any additional comments?

I got to say that Corey Taylor's work has always been great, all though Seven Deadly Sins is still my favorite book by his, this is still a good read.

    "Very thought-provoking"

I came in with little knowledge to what corey taylor was up to, but as he expanded his ideas I came to understand him. He is a brilliant narrator, mostly from the fact I am a fan of his music and he just has a nice funny but dark tone. I reccomed this book to anyone looking for a different experience and who is fasinated by the supernatural. Good job corey!

    "Corey Taylor is a Genius"
    Any additional comments?

Admittedly, I am a huge Corey Taylor fan, so this review may be a bit biased. I love Corey's writing style. It's brutally honest, funny, insightful, and doesn't give a shit what you think about it. He doesn't pull punches or shy away from the offensive, but comes at the reader with both barrels blasting, leaving the reader to either absorb the message or get the hell out of the way. Overall, an amazing story, read by the author in a voice that is all his own.

    "Wonderful"

I've. Even a fan of Taylor since Come What(ever) May came out. His story telling is just as good as the albums he puts out with his bands. I will definitely be reading/listening the others he has wrote and all write.

    "unexpected enjoyment !!!"

the book was definitely entertaining but not as I expected from Corey Taylor. I found myself struggling to keep up with some of his scientific acumen. but definitely appreciate his enthusiasm on the subject of the paranormal. I can appreciate his wide-open thought process

    "Fascinating read/listen."

I absolutely loved this book and Corey's hypothesis of "intelligent energy", and would like nothing more than to discuss it further. Furthermore, I could not recommend it enough to believers and skeptics alike.

Thank you Corey, now I know what I want to write my first book about.

    "Do you believe?"

This book dares you to think about what that shadow could be out of the corner of your eye. Cory wants you to truly Ponder what could happen after death. he tells of stories of personal events. stories told around tables filled with friends. stories from when he was recording with Slipknot and Stone Sour. I found it to be a lot of fun. the best part was it was read by Corey Taylor himself.
