Beautiful

This story was truly beautiful in its joy and sadness. I am grateful to have been transported to Wagadhaany’s world. Incredibly inspiring storytelling by Anita Heiss.

Deeply moving and involving story.

Great story, wonderful characters, great to hear so much language. Sad the narrator wasn’t quite as good as she might have been. A little bit stilted in the reading, and not very clearly defined voices for each character, but still carried the storyline well. A vital historical novel giving a good insight into Australian indigenous and gender relations in the early years of colonisation

Powerful and moving story.

Loved being able to learn words in language and hear them spoken. A powerful story, well performed and beautifully written.
