I much preferred the first story to the second, even though both men seem to be cut from the same cloth. The situations are similar, the way the men choose to address their desire is the same, though in the second book the threat comes from a professional rather than a personal rival. Of the female leads, I much prefer Lena to Vanessa, whom I rather dislike. Her stubbornness is wholly unattractive to me, even though both women carry around a heaping helping of inexplicably poor self-confidence. The narrator did a pretty good job, especially when it came to performing the male characters in the sexy times. he has a rich, sensual voice, with clear African American intonation which is exactly suited to the male MCs in each story. His deeper tones also worked well for voicing the female leads' tones.

2 great romances for the price of one. The story of 2 strong career women very independent in their own businesses, then one day they meet the men of their dreams.

So far the Steel family serial is a winner.
