Publisher's summary

I transformed my game from hacker to one of the best golfers at my club just by fixing the things outside of my swing and grip. I did this all in my adult years, so I have a clear understanding of what the average golfer is thinking and feeling. My grip sucks, and my swing sure as hell ain’t pretty, but I’ve found a way to become a scratch golfer, and I think I have some ways to help other people do that, too.

Consistency is the name of the game. The only way to improve consistency is to remove variables, and that is exactly what I will teach you in this book. Trying to replicate the swing of a touring pro is a recipe for disaster. Trust me, I’ve tried it, and lost a few golf seasons trying to look like Tiger Woods on the course. After a lot of research and experimenting, I've found some easy techniques to implement into your game that you can take out on the course right away. You’re going to enjoy this straight to the point, no bulls*it take on how to play better golf. You will have some laughs along the way, but most importantly, you will have a road map to start playing better f--king golf.

Pretty good read

Nothing earth shattering in this book. But, was great to hear a simple approach to improvement that does go crazy with tech jargon.

The author’s use of foul language makes the book feel conversational and easy to digest.

I recommend this to any golfer.

Useful and hard won nuggets of golf wisdom..

..once you get past the tiresome f-bombs, grating frat boy tone, and casual misogyny, I am a high single-digit handicapper (six years after I started playing at 48) and can vouch for the value and correctness of the author’s tips. I also like his preference for using external feedback (e.g., squeaky kitchen sponges) to track how well you’re implementing a suggestion. This is a good guide *after* you’ve mastered golf’s basic skills and have specific patterns of misses that you need to fix. Don’t use this guide (or, most other golf books) if pretty much everything that can go wrong could go wrong at any stage of your game.
