Publisher's Summary

Following Jesus does not have to be as complicated as Christianity can make it appear. While Jesus certainly requires commitment, He has never required complexity.

Better Than a Christian helps you to strengthen your walk with Christ by allowing Jesus to define and simplify that walk. In fact, Jesus made five statements about following him that will radically transform your relationship with Christ and deeply impact the lives of those around you.

Phenomenal

This book provides a phenomenal example of how to follow Christ according to the scriptures. As I am working on a major ministry project, this book was exactly what I needed to confirm my feelings about how to engage and connect with today's generation. "Better than a Christian" encourages moving beyond the status quo of simply being a church-attendee or Christian from a religious standpoint. If you are want a clear understanding on how to be a disciple of Christ, then this is the book for you. Great read!

Riveting reminder of what it mean to be a Christian

Pastor Ron Simmons holds no punches as he lays out what God requires from us to be his disciple. He reminds us that we must take us our cross, follow God’s teachings and be a lot less self focused. It’s a wonderful juxtaposition of what being crammed into many self help books and forces the reader to examine how to live for the kingdom vs. living for self. Great, great read.
