Excellent

In the end he understands and explains Benjamin Franklin better than maybe even Benjamin Franklin ever knew and understood himself. I think great autobiographies teach you also about yourself. This was definitely true for me for this book

This book changed my perspective on B. Franklin (not that I held a deep perspective about him, but still). More than just a brilliant inventor and portly guy with spectacles, Franklin was apparently a strapping, hard worker in his younger days as well as a wily and devious person of words who used his press and the mail system to undo a few rivals. Fascinating stuff.

Excellent

Totally amazed at the genius and complexity of Franklin’s mind, values, and contribution to the forming of the United States. His inquisitive scientific mind gave the world some very practical and useful tools, as well. Enjoyed very much!

wonderful

What a wonderful balance Franklin was with most of the highly elite, formally educated founding fathers. If he had not been around during the writing of the Constitution, we very well could be a nation led by Kings and Queens. His mind was sharp and always examining possibilities for explanations of nature.

Best informative.

A thoroughly enjoyable book especially for fans of Benjamin Franklin. Explores his strengths and social failings, but maybe a bit much for those who have only a passing interest.

Interesting

The amount of detail that the author was able to share about his thinking and his innovations was wonderful and enlightening. He was two centuries ahead of his time!
