Publisher's summary

I'm the guy you love to hate. In every story in my life, I seem to end up playing the villain - and I've got the scars to prove it. That role works fine for me, because I'm sure as hell not anyone's hero. I run my life and my empire with an iron fist - until she knocks my tightly controlled world off its axis. She's nobody's damsel in distress, but I can't help but want to save her anyway. I guess we're about to find out if there's a hero buried...beneath these scars.

A GROWN UP TALE OF BEAUTY & THE (HANDSOME) BEAST

When I started this listen I really didn't think I was going to like Titan (the hero) oh yes, he was a handsome, sexy Billionaire however he was also arrogant, self absorbed and self-serving too. But I should have known better, because in the skilful hands of Meghan March, she didn't change his character but rather let in flaws and vulnerabilities and gave him someone worthy to love and be loved by so he could forgive himself for a tragedy in his past.... and that someone was Yve.

Yve had a lot of demons in her closet.... an abusive marriage, a dishonorable family history and a violent and possessive ex that was about to be released from Prison. However she was strong, feisty and an independent businesswoman who was managing a Vintage women's designer clothes shop. But slowly the threats to herself, and the business she loved, mounted and her salvation would come from the arms of the one man she least liked..... the obnoxious, demanding, challenging and frustrating Titan.

Somehow these two characters were drawn to each other, they were very similar - both were hard working, focused, independent and both had scars, both mentally and physically, put there by their pasts. They were both also drawn to each other and, even though the dislike and animosity was there, they both craved the others touch... which led to some passion filled encounters. Then, as the threat level rose and the danger escalated, so too did their feelings for one another and an unbreakable bond started to take shape. But it wasn't until lives were threatened and blood was spilled that all secrets were outed, feelings were shared and a HEA was reached.... and, even then, Titan had to do it his way.

A hero who I had to warm to and a heroine who I respected (but made one dumb-ass move) led to a very entertaining push/pull relationship that started off as just sex but ended up being a strong and loving partnership. There was sub plots of boardroom deals, backhanders and in your pocket bribes as well as the tense dynamics of characters from the previous book. The narration, as always, was great and added to the full enjoyment of this very entertaining listen.

Worth a credit? Meghan March is an auto-download Author and this book shows why.... because I can trust that she will deliver complex characters who I'll fall in love with, give me an exciting plot and pepper it with angst, drama and suspense. So YES creditworthy.

Beneath these Scars

Where does Beneath These Scars rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Very high.

What did you like best about this story?

Another great book in the series.

Have you listened to any of Sebastian York and Andi Arndt ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Yes. I have listened to a lot their books. They are the Dynamic Duo of romance.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I loved the entire series.

Any additional comments?

Sebastian York is back in fine voice after loosing the weird accent. He does a wonderful job voicing Lucas. He is The Best male narrator on Audible.

Scars, Secretes, and Steamy Romance!

Meghan March's Beneath Series is an outstanding, and it's hard for me to choose a favorite. I love them all! Each book is a well written treat, and have the right mix of drama, steamy sex scenes, romance, twists, and a little mystery too. The chemistry she creates between the characters is mouth-watering perfection. Once I started listening, I completely devour them, and cannot recommend them enough!

Lucas Titan is the character you would love to hate. Introduced in a prior story, Lucas was not above blackmailing, and as a billionaire, he was arrogant, pushy and used to getting his way. However, in Beneath These Scars, we get to see a different side of Lucas, a more vulnerable Lucas and learn why he's so driven and determine to prove himself. The attraction between Lucas and Yve was instant, off the charts, and you could feel it.

Yve may not have been rich like Lucas, but she was his equal in so many ways. She was strong, independent, determined and a survivor with a past. However, when her past is released from prison, Titan becomes her rock.

Sebastian York and Andi Arndt are two of the best narrators, and do a stellar job bringing the story and characters to life. They definitely give this story the "WOW" factor!

Well worth every minute, credit or sale! Highly recommend for those who love a well rounded romance with lots of heat that's not too dark.

Narration of this book was perfection

Any additional comments?

This is a solid enjoyable series that I read before I purchased them on audio book. Even though I liked the books I can't believe how much better they were when listening to them because of the perfect narration of Andi Arndt and Sebastian York. They are the best narration duo in the field. Worth the credit.

Hello Fabulous!

I debated on getting into a 4 book series. The first book was good, 2nd better, 3rd great, and this 4th one was fabulous! Ms. Arndt brought her bad ass game to her character. As always, Mr. York has the sexiest alpha male voice on the planet. He's definitely my go to eargasm! Thanks MM for writing intriguing dialog and allowing me to take a journey "Beneath" .

My favorite series this year!

The Beneath series is my favorite of 2015. I love that we see each couple from past books but that it's only in passing. Meghan March does such a good job developing the characters and then letting them grow. These are adult relationships. The couples get together early, grow and face the problems together. Such a welcome change for the genre. Start with book one!

"These scars" The best!

Of all the "beneath..." Series this is my favorite! It truly depicted the personalities and tumultuous relationship between the two main characters! It showed the evolution of their feelings for each other and eloquently tore down the protective walls surrounding both characters only to reveal their likenesses to each other! I will read this again! I enjoyed this one because the story kept moving, tore holes in their relationship only to mend them quickly and not leave a gaping hole! Their pitfalls revealed how strong they had grown as a couple and how they both finally stopped fighting it! Sebastian and Andie did a great job with Eve and Lucas' characters! I highly recommend reading this story!!!

Love This Series But Can't Stand This Female Lead!

I really love Meghan March and this series is awesome. I really could not stand what a b**** Eve was, in this book!!! Connecting with characters is what reading/listening is about and I truly disliked Eve. She is such a condescending character that is all doom and gloom. No matter her past, I can't believe any man, even a fictional character would put up with how harsh she is. I know, I know 1400 reviews of this book and I write this review....call me crazy. Judge for yourself, but I hope to never meet another character like Eve. A waste of a credit for me.

Loved It!

I can't imagine now that I was gonna put this book down. It started with a scene at Con's club with him and Titan fighting and I was bored, but after reading it it's my favorite one of the series. I thought Beneath this Mask was my favorite, but this one topped the cake. I mean, I so loved Titan and Yve!! They make such a great couple.
I loved how they started off by hooking up, then developing this agreement which fell in to love. After a few incidents that is. I loved the suspense in the book and the surprise of who was stalking her. And the ending? I mean, just the sweetest and best ending ever. I want this ending to happen to me. I'm such a sucker for romance. Hehe!!
I know I'm gonna read this book again cause it was so great.
Thinking about it now I can't even believe I hated Titan. He turned out to be the coolest most romantic and sexiest of all the guys in this series. His alpha behavior so sexy. I also really liked Yve and how independent she was. She was a great heroine. I'm just so sad the book ended. It could go on forever. Not really, but u know what I mean. Hehe.
I recommend this book and series to anybody who loves alpha males, who are sexy, thoughtful, strong and great in the sack. =D

Fifty Formula

Everybody likes a short tempered, Billionaire, megalomanical, possessive, ripped, hot, scarred, buisnessman who barely works and was not loved by his parents, right? If you are missing Fifty, it's like book 1b....if you are over this 'Fifty Formula', skip it. Points for getting so close to that Fifty concept. Demerits for getting so close to that concept. Points for including the gritted put 'MINE'. MY FAVE. Hahahaa.
