Promising story, horrible narrator

I really wanted to listen to this book, but it's no wonder it's 11 hours. The narrator reads so slowly and monotonously it leaches all interest from the words.

loved it

I loved this book. The narrator Roy Wells really bring this story to life and makes you fall in love with the characters even more. Shane ran away from home and lived under a pier in Huntington beach. Julian finds him and wants the boy to belong to him. Julien is a Dom wants Shane to be his Sub. He helps Shane with school and finances, But Shane is a handful and has a rebellious nature. Julien has house rules but can Shane follow them? Can Shane give up all the bad habits he has? Can Julien tame the defiant nature Shane has and teach him the art of submission.

One of my favorite books ever!

I love the story of Julian and Shane so much and to have it brought to life in such a wonderful way makes it all the more special. Their story is about how love can concur all. This is such a great series and a must have for any Brina Brady fan. She is Awesome!

Wow what a book

Omg I enjoyed reading the book but to hear it come to life on auditable was even better. I can’t wait to hear the rest of the series on auditable. Love love loved this one.

Excellent use of tropes

Julien and Shane make an interesting couple. It's clear there is a real attraction there that could develop into something deep but Shane has all sorts of demons from his past to overcome. The age gap and D/s tropes were very well handled and I want to see these two work on their relationship. It's clear there are still some rough times ahead. I enjoyed Roy Wells performance very much and I'm off now to listen to the second book in the series.

Great book, great audio. Loved it.
This was my first book by Brina and it sure won't be my last. I loved it.
Although I wasn't expecting to cry whilst reading a BDSM book but I did on a few occasions.
The complex story from young Shane and older Julien had me hooked. Things aren't always black and white. People need certain things in their life even if they don't realise it at the time.
Brina writes with this edge that keeps you guessing for a long time.
Well worth a read, looking forward to starting book 2.

The Audio version was also good although Roy Wells read far too slow for me. I had to speed it up to 1.5 on Audible.
