Publisher's Summary

To most townsfolk, he's known simply as The Beast. Annabelle Beiler has little interest in gossip, but she's heard about Adam Herschberger's scars and his gruff, solitary ways. Though he sounds like a character from one of Belle's treasured books, the man is real and, it turns out, just as unreasonable as the rumors claim. When a buggy accident wipes out the last of her daed's money, forcing him to sell their farm, Adam buys it. Then he offers Belle a deal - marry him, and her family can keep their home.

Everyone is shocked by Belle's decision, but she's determined to be a good fraa, cleaning Adam's rundown house and tending the overgrown garden. Breaking through her new husband's icy reserve will be another matter. Belle's courage and strength are abundant, but it will take true faith to guide Adam back to the heart of his Amish community - and to the loving marriage they both deserve.

Contains mature themes.

Best Amish Audible to Date

I️ read all Amish audio books. This is my favorite to date. The characters were so real and complex. I️t was so well written that I️ was incredibly invested in the story and the characters. This Amish spin on the classic story of Beauty and the Beast was so clever. Please do more!

Delightfully Sweet

Sometimes you just need a happily-ever-after story. I love fairytales and this one was done well with fun surprises around the corners. A great new, inspirational and delightfully done version of Beauty and the Beast.

Great retelling of beauty and the beast storyline

I enjoyed this audio book. The narration was excellent. The author did an great job with an Amish retelling of Beauty & the Beast. It was a sweet listen with bits of spiritual inspiration throughout the book. I would re-listen to this and that is something I rarely do.

Love love this book! What an awesome lesson to see others beyond what the outside looks like and look within. Too bad more people don't do that. Can't wait for the others!

Wow! Wonderful, Wonderful Story!

At first I wasn't sure if I was going to like the narration, however, I ended up really liking this narrator. She did an excellent job of changing voices. And, wow, oh wow! This story was great! I am glad that I also have the book in paperback because I plan to re-read this story many times.
