Stirring for your soul

A beautiful invitation to deepening our union and relationship with God via a mind, body and soul that seeks to BEHOLD God and to find oneself, beheld by Him. We’re each invited.

Similar to Thirsting, but the original

Strahan allows his pain to be used for Good. I’m so inspired by the simple ways we can use our bodies to pray; that note combines from the end of the book but is a huge takeaway.

What a gift.

I enjoyed every bit of this story and this encouragement. I’m left with a deeper longing to know God in so many of these ways and, truly, without a whole lot of shame. Which is new for a book on prayer, for me. :) thanks!

Becoming a Beholder

This book really impacted my life. I felt convicted by the first chapter. Strahan has an amazing backstory of how he moved into a deeper friendship with God and with his encouragement, I hope I can also begin to enjoy God simply for who He is, and not what I want from Him. I recommend reading this one before his other book Thirsting, I did it the opposite way!

Good not only for information

I love this authors heart. if you are interested in spiritual formation, which I understand to be tending the gap between what I know about God and what I experience in my reality with God, then this is a great book for you. There is also a podcast prayer companion to go with it that os awesome.

Wonderful

This was a very refreshing to read and a great eye opener. What a wonderful book!

Great book and very different from the rest

I knew if John Mark Comer did the foreword, I would want to read it! I was right, but this book was so great and gentle. I have been not happy with some of the Christian authors I was reading lately, and this author is a breath of fresh air. I did not feel guilty or feel like there is no way I can get this right. This book was so relationship based I really felt better after reading it instead of judgy and guilty with some of the books I was branching out to try. Very happy I took a chance on this book, and it delivered.
I highly recommend to anyone as it is so different from many out there right now.

Worth a Read/listen and then a Reread.

Beautifully written. It is more then just informative it felt like it stirred up deeper desire to be with God while giving practical practices to grow in beholding God. Loved it and have already recommended it to many.
