Excellent Story & Narration🎧 Brent💘Natalie!

Cassandra Giovanni pens another great “Boys of Fallout” novel. This book features an entirely different band than the first book “Out of Beat”, though there is a mention or brief appearance of them in this book, Skylar manages several bands, including “Makeshift Chemistry”. Skylar suggests the band hire a photographer to go on tour with them and recommends Natalie Scott, while they can not afford her Fallout will pick up half the cost if she takes photos of other bands on the tour. One problem is her ex-boyfriend, Jace Smith, will be in one of those bands, he did her wrong in so many ways and she never wanted to see him again. But she could not pass up this opportunity. She loves going on tour and shooting rockstars in action. She flies out to meet the band in California, Brent one of the lead singers, the screamer, picks her up from the airport. She had talked to James the other lead singer on the phone and would meet the others on the bus, Kie, Brad and Aiden. I loved the camaraderie amongst the band members, also loved how they made Natalie feel like she was one of them and how they had her back when they found out what her ex had done. Brent and Natalie hit it off right from the start, she vowed to never date clients again and had a wall built around her heart, but Brent managed to break that wall down. They were perfect together and for each other. Their story is a great story, I loved every minute of it, Natalie and her journals was an amazing storyline, it added a lot of depth to her and the book. Cassandra Giovanni, that you for this excellent story, the heartfelt moments and sweet rocker romance, it was great to go on tour with Makeshift Chemistry!

I listened to the Audible edition, Kaye Anderson is an amazing narrator and voice artist. She continues to bring these stories to life, humanizing the characters by giving them their voices and personalities. You could hear how much heart she puts into her work, the characters emotions reflect in her performance, allowing you to feel what they are feeling. She is an entertaining storyteller and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another awesome listen🎧

Such a sweet rockstar romance

This story is similar to the prior story in the series and follows a photographer, Natalie, and a rocker (a metal “screamer") Brent.

Natalie is very closed off because she had a prior relationship with another rocker who actually stole the lyrics of their most popular song from her. Then, he cheated on her. So, she makes a rule that she will never get involved with her clients, who are rockstars. However, when she meets Brent, she finds it really difficult to not fall for him.

I really liked the characters- Brent is charming and Natalie is relatable and sweet. I really felt bad for her and all that she went through but I loved her personal growth and the growth of all the other characters. This is a fantastic story with a great supporting cast. (except for Jace, her ex). I love the way the story ended as well. A very well done story about young adults finding their way (and love on the way)

The narrator is good- she did a great job reflecting the different characters and she has the perfect voice to reflect Natalie. The only thing I wish was for her to have sung some of the lyrics. (the lyrics were very good!)

Great Read

Behind the. Lens: Boys of Fallout, Book Two was another great read by Cassandra Giovanni. Natalie is a band photographer who photographs metal musicians. Her one rule is no relationships while on tour, that also includes one night stands. Brent is in the band that he is photographing and although he knows her rules he wants to be the exception. I really enjoyed listening to Natalie and Brent's story and can't wait to read more by Cassandra Giovanni.

Great Rock Romance!

I wasn't sure if I would like this book as much as the first. It grew on me pretty quickly and I liked the mc for different reasons. The romance was slow and sweet. I enjoyed the audio version.

Behind the Lens... love the perspective

Behind the Lens: Boys of Fallout by Cassandra Giovanni
Five Stars
Behind the Lens is the second book in the Boys of Fallout series by Cassandra Giovanni. I think this book is even better than the first book, and I loved the first. I love the perspective of the stories being told by a female photographer, Natalie, on tour with a Makeshift Chemistry. That the guys can make room for Natalie on their tour bus in close quarters for long stretches of time is a interesting dynamic.
I love the narration by Kaye Anderson. She really brings the characters to life. I look forward to reading/listening to mor stories by Ms. Giovanni and Ms. Anderson is on my narrators that I love list.

A fantastic story!

Kaye Anderson's narration of Behind the Lens was fantastic. Her voice was mesmerising as she brought these characters to life. The way she tells this story you cannot help but be pulled in.

Natalie is the new band photographer for Makeshift Chemistry and whilst she loves been out on tour she has one rule, 'Do not fall for a member of the band' but the more she gets to know Brent aka 'Screamer' the harder she finds it to stick to her rule. As the truth becomes known for Natalie's rule will she and Brent finally be together?

A great story from Cassandra Giovanni and I look forward to reading more from her.

Stand alone story

I didn't like this story nearly as much as Out of Beat. I would have had a much more positive impression if Natalie hadn't been involved with a nice guy at the beginning of the book and immediately broke up just because of fear of the band lifestyle. I was hoping it would be a story about making the relationship work despite the band lifestyle, but it quickly turned into another band/photographer story.

The narrator has a very distinctive voice so it seemed a little strange to have the same voice for two different characters in the same series, though that may have been more pronounced because I listened to them back to back. I didn't notice much variation in the voices, but it was a pleasant voice to listen to.

I did like the lyrics and song writing elements and was surprised by the way the journal storyline worked out. I also liked how the characters supported each other. I like the characters and the writing style and I'm interested in reading more by Cassandra Giovanni.

Second book in The Boys of Fallout shows it doesn’t pay to steal revenge isn’t always the answer, and sometimes your unfounded fear is just that.
As in the first story this storyline has well developed characters and the narration is well done.

This is a sweet story, with likable characters.

Kaye Anderson’s voice was perfect for Natalie in Behind the Lens; it was easy to listen to.

Following Natalie while she toured with Makeshift Chemistry as their photographer was enjoyable. Seeing her grow as a person, learn to stand up for herself, take back control, and allow herself to feel things she had tried to avoid, all made for an enjoyable experience.

Great listen

I love the narrator in this series. Her voice is so easy to listen to. The story is great and I love that Nat is so strong in her desires and doesn’t let a jerk push her around even when that’s all he wants to do.
