I love this series

Another great addition to this ongoing space opera!
I have all seven books, each time a new chapter comes out, I load them all into my player and start at the beginning, absolutely riveting. They have everything I look for in a science fiction novel. Compelling drama, humor, interesting characters that are well developed and not shallow. Veronica is not just a narrator, she is the ultimate story teller, I wish I could have her show up at camping trips just to tell stories around the campfire.

The ever unfolding space opera of the decade!

As a life long avid SF fan of 67 I find this saga to be truly unique... An ever expanding universe with solid new & unfolding plot ideas at both the micro and macro level. It is such a fun and engrossing series... Which I began just two weeks ago!

Often such stories grow old and repetitive after a few books or they just become so disjointed that my interest wanes. Not so here... As I get ready to begin the last book I know I'm going to be very frustrated having to wait for Mixon to finish another...

The story continues... and is still getting better

What can I say. This is book seven in a can't miss series. Everything about this series just draws you in. You really do need to start from the beginning or you will get lost with everything going on. This author has no problem with repeating the same thing over and over just to make the story longer. In fact I can't believe he manages to cram so much into these stories. Every time things start to slow down... something else happens. Just like in real life. This series is really a space opera but in my book that is a good thing. Can't wait for the next episode just to see where they go from here. This book had some very interesting twists beyond the expected ones.

As usual Veronica does an excellent job narrating this book. Her voice is always clear and understandable even with all the different accents and inflections that make for great character recognition. One of the best in the business.

A little draggy in the last third, but still great

This book was well in keeping with the Empire of Bones series, remaining true to the tension of the world and the current situation. While the conflicts were solid, I feel like the last third of the book or so sort of dragged. I am, as always, eager to continue with the series when book 8 comes out, but the last bit was kind of a slog. To be fair, it wasn't quite as much of a drag as the second half of book 3, but this one was a little weaker than the others of the series.

Still, Mixon has my attention quite strongly in his grasp. I'm ready for the next installment.

Continue the ride!

Characters you can care about. Very good space opera. Got a little bigger down with rapid changes from one narrative thread to the next that I got lost. Will have to re-read to figure out what happened.

The Space Opera Continues

This is a great series. A feel good adventure. I never feel that the story drags and it is always exciting. I can't wait for the next adventure. Listen to the first six books in the series for a great yarn.
The narration is very good.
