Three gripping psychological thrillers about secrets, obsession, and control.
Perfect lives unravel, hidden truths surface, and nothing stays buried behind closed doors.
Discover a chilling collection of dark, character-driven suspense from psychological thriller author Alison Lyle.
In Her Family Secrets, a respected doctor’s perfect life collapses when his wife disappears and anonymous messages expose a past he never knew existed. As obsession takes hold, two men spiral toward a truth neither of them can survive.
In Out of the Fog, two women fight to reclaim control as their realities fracture. One wakes injured and isolated in a remote home under the watchful care of a neighbor who knows too much. The other begins to suspect her marriage hides something far more dangerous. Both must face the truth before it destroys them.
In Outlived You, fame is a carefully curated illusion. When a pop star’s public redemption conceals private manipulation, one woman must dismantle the narrative built around her or lose herself completely.
Behind Closed Doors Collection, Volume 1 brings together three dark psychological thrillers about secrets, obsession, control, and the devastating cost of hidden lives.
Perfect for fans of domestic suspense, psychological thrillers with shocking twists, and emotionally intense, binge-worthy listens.

You never know what goes on in a family behind closed doors. Her Family Secrets will make you glad they aren't your family. I struggled to see how the two distinctly separate stories were linked together through most of the book. Both are complex in nature and felt like they should have been separate books until that ah ha! moment when the pieces start coming together. Filled with many unexpected twists and turns, you really need to pay attention to the narration.
The body count just kept increasing with no end in sight despite the main characters being an obstetrician and a nurse in his practice.
Colin and Liz have had a rough go of it in their personal lives with multiple miscarriages as they attempt to build a family like their patients have been successful in achieving.
On the other side of the pond, Owen struggles with fulfilling his wife's wish to live out her final days in her native country Ireland. His proclivities however, date back to well before her dementia.
Adia and Chris are residing in an Irish rental for a month until they head out to their next place in Paris. Hattie, their landlady suckers Adia in with her grieving widow whose daughter is lost to the penal system act.
Holy crap, what a head case Hattie turns into being turning a sane traumatized Adia into a delusional shell of a person. Makes you think twice about renting a cabin from anyone, anywhere in the world ever again.
Mandy has been a stay at home mom with their child Watson, Wats, for the last two years of their marriage. Keith up ends their life in England to transfer to Kazakhstan neglecting to inform her to exactly why he wanted to transfer. Nadia, Keith's coworker, joins him in welcoming Mandy and Wats at the airport. This is the second red flag Mandy encounters that all is not as it seems.
Once again, it took most of the book to see the connection between Mandy and Adia. A completely coincidental meeting at the cabin in the United States changes both of their lives.
The most cohesive book from beginning to end of the three books is Outlived You. The seedier side of the music entertainment business. Lola and Frankie are a musical couple that fell victim to the pitfalls of the business. Business manager Sonia, fellow musician Poppy and a few others who were erased from the spotlight round out the characters. Who can you really trust and rely on? Are they really your support or are they part of your downfall?
Secrets piled on top of secrets upon lies make up the can of worms that has become Lola's reality. Warning drug addiction plays a prominent role within the story.
Redemption in the end is the theme.
