Brewing Simplified

I really enjoyed this book. Brewing is a great hobby. No matter where you are in your brewing journey, this book provides some solid simplified information, to help you on your way. My only beef is that this book isn't available on the Australian audible yet

Perfect for all brewers

I have been extract brewing for years and recently started all-grain brewing. I really enjoyed listening to this book. It provided me with new tips and tricks on how to make a quality extract brew at home, while opening my eyes into the world of all-grain. I was surprised in the level of detail the book went into, whilst keeping the content engaging and interesting. Highly recommend for brewers of all levels.

Good starting guide to brewing beer

This book was written in a easy listening format with the narrator giving it life. the information across both books was good with some of it getting very detailed in the all grain version.

I am not sure if the double version is different but there is reference to the extract book in the all grain book so it may be a disadvantage to get one rather than both.

The available files for download are easy to read but I wish that they provided more diagrams or pictures of parts of the book relating to making your own equipment. there's a part about cooling coils that referencea putting part B into something and part a into something. not clear when. it's an audio book.

For the extract part, it doesn't mention specific extracts that can be purchased, rather just plain malt extracts. Most starting out DIYers will start with a kit which will contain a pre-made extract that shouldn't need hops or anything further.

Overall, I enjoyed the narrators style and found it easy to listen and learn from. Add detailed instructions to the file repository and I'd give it 5 stars overall.

An Excellent Starting Guide to Home Brewing

This is an excellent guide to understand the basics ( and not so basic) aspects of home brewing.
With the book being broken it to 2 sections Extract and all grain it makes it easy to find where you feel comfortable to start from. That being said even if you are ready to just straight to all grain there are some great tips all the way throughout.

The book comes to life with the odd few dozen jokes thrown in making it feel like a friend is chatting about homebrewing.

A great guide in all
