Publisher's summary

Rosamund Carrow has spent years learning the law by assisting her barrister father, despite the frustrating truth that the profession is closed to women. When he dies unexpectedly, necessity compels her to disguise herself as a man so she can step into the courtroom to finish his cases. She's willing to put her reputation at risk, but she never expects that the greatest peril will be to her heart.

Lord Lawrence Byron is a rising star in London's legal circles, despite his reputation as an unrepentant rakehell. When an upstart young barrister defeats him in court, he's determined to discover everything he can about his rival. He's stunned when he uncovers the shocking secret that his new opponent is actually a beguiling, brilliant woman - one he can't help but want in his bed. Passion draws them together as they break all the rules, but it may lead to something more lasting - like love. Contains mature themes.

Awesome so glad final on audio

I love this authors books. I wish she had done an epilogue. This was an incredible finale to the serious. I really like Mrs. Warren's twist and how her books are similar and yet refreshingly different. Please don't stop writing. And make them have your books available for audio. lol

Ho Hum

It was a little too predictable. The premise was original. But when it came down to the relationship , the interactions. I enjoy books with better banter.

too much time on the sex so the plot was a bit thin. would have liked to see them being taken into the Byron fold. worsr of the narrators. really dont think she is very good

Love verses ambition

This was a very enjoyable read .It relates how women were restrict ed in what they could do as a professional person. The heroine had to pretend
To be a man to practice law. The writer did a very good job of showing how it could be done. It couldn't happen in today's. World but this is
Fiction. It is. a beautiful. love. story

So good!

So.... lately I've started a small collection of books that couldn't hold my attention.... I haven't reviewed them, cause I haven't finished them.
This one, light in so many ways except illumination, got me from word one to last and smiling most of the way. I enjoyed the very feel of it, not carefree but not serious, not simple but not complicated.... just the stuff a regency romance is supposed to be.... thank heavens.

Beverley Crick is VERY good as narrator, a gem!!!

The heat in this one is quite the steamy sizzling kind.

The idea of creditworthiness...oh yes! Very much so.

Two lawyers fall in love...

This was my favorite book of the trilogy. Our couple's relationship was based on mutual respect, lust then love. He respected her mind and her body. She wanted to experience lust that turned into love. All the plot turns worked, this was an interesting romance. I listen to the other two through my romance package but I bought this one I'm glad I did.

Narration is off again

Once again with this series, the narration almost killed it for me. Story was decent. Not her greatest, but not the worst either.
